This stylish 16 floor hotel is the largest hotel ever in Iceland, but the warm and natural décor creates a lovely welcoming feel right from when you enter the doors. The hotel is located near the main shopping district and the north facing rooms allow for a superb sea view.

The Beergarden is the perfect place to unwind and reflect on your day exploring Reykjavik city, enjoying the company of fellow tourists as well as the local people. You will be stuck for choice in this bar as there are 22 local Icelandic brewed beers on draft and over 200 bottles. Whereas the Haust Restaurant offers a fine dining experience for its customers, in a sleek and designer venue, where all the food served is high-quality and Icelandic farmed (book and pay locally).

Many rooms offer views of the city and the bay area. All rooms have free WiFi, flat-screen TV, a desk, safe, hairdryer, iron, small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and private bathroom with shower.

  • Standard Double Room sleeps 2 people and has all of the facilities above that come as standard in the hotel. These rooms located on floors 2nd – 7th 
  • Tower View Room is located in the tower building, on floors 8 – 15, and are guaranteed either a view of the city or of the ocean (on request)
  • Deluxe Rooms are all located on the 8th – 14th floors with city or ocean views. In addition to the facilities above the room is larger with a lounge area (on request)
  • Family Rooms sleep a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children, with 2 children sleeping on a sofa bed. Family rooms are located on floors 2nd – 7th (on request)

Excursions

There is one excursion included in your city break, so please choose from the following:

  • Golden Circle Tour – The Golden Circle has been one of the most popular among visitors as you can see some of Iceland’s most beautiful natural wonders in one area. Being able to see Gullfoss waterfall, the famous Geysir geyser and the Thingvellir National Park.

  • Whale Watching – Spotting the whales in their natural surroundings and popular area for whales to congregate is a truly incredible experience. Seeing a whale up close is a sight to remember, as well as the whales you will have some spectacular views of Reykjavik. The experienced guides you will have on this tour will share their array of knowledge and interesting facts on the whales, as well as their old sea stories.

  • Lava Horse Riding Tour – Take an adventurous ride on a unique Icelandic Horse around Mount Helgafell or Lake Hvaleyrarvatn, through lava fields. Enjoy the riding qualities of the Icelandic Horse and specifically the tolt gait as you look around at many different rock formations. There will be a few stops along the way, and the riding tour will be around 1.5 – 2 hours.

Optional Blue Lagoon excursion

This infamous Blue Lagoon is a place on many peoples bucket list and when visiting Reykjavik the lagoon is really not to be missed. The geothermal seawater is full of natural minerals and is proven to be extremely good for the skin. After experiencing the mineral–rich warm waters there is also the café and Lava Restaurant in which you can enjoy.
