Itinerary

Day 1: UK to Venice

Start your holiday in style with a private water taxi down the Grand Canal straight to your hotel for the next two nights.

Days 2-3: Venice

Venice is one of Italy's most visited cities and it won't disappoint. Start off with a walk through the maze of Venice’s back-streets before stopping for a coffee in St. Mark’s Square where you can usually enjoy a live performance too. Visit the Golden Basilica and Doge’s Palace to get to know the city's rich history. If you have time, take a short boat ride to Murano where the famous glass factories are located. You’ll get to see a glass-blowing demonstration and have the opportunity to shop for souvenirs.

Day 4: Venice to Florence

We'll include tickets for the high-speed train journey to Florence so enjoy your last breakfast in Venice before flying through the countryside to the capital of Tuscany in just over two hours.

Days 5-6: Florence

Florence is full of stunning architecture, renowned artwork and fantastic food. Brunelleschi’s Dome dominates the skyline and a trip to the top is a must - the views from here are stunning. Art lovers will be in their element with the Ufizzi and Accademia galleries to explore with the largest collection of Renaissance masterpieces in the world. Make sure to stroll along the River Arno, shop in the stalls that line the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and head to Mercato Centrale to sample some famous Tuscan cuisine.

Day 7: Florence to Rome

Jump on board another high-speed train that'll get you to Rome in an hour and a half.

Days 8-9: Rome

There’s endless things to do in Rome from admiring ancient architecture, shopping for designer clothes to soaking up the atmosphere in the bustling piazzas. The city’s metro system makes it easy to get around. Start one day with a visit to the smallest state in the world, the Vatican (arrive early to beat the crowds) before heading back into central Rome for a quick lunch at Campo dei Fiori. If you want to experience a more authentic side of the city, Trastevere is a must. It has a bustling evening atmosphere and plenty of pizzerias where you can enjoy a relaxed dinner.
