Rome Times Hotel has been finished to a very high standard. It’s ultra-modern with natural wooden floors, bespoke furniture and bold colours. A real contrast to the historic street it stands on. The rooms are wonderful to come back to after exploring all day, they’ve got lots of space and lovely, deep mattresses. We love the bar here; they’ve always got new cocktails to try out so it’s a good choice for that pre-dinner drink. They come with canapés between 6pm and 9pm. There’s a great roof terrace that’s open during the summer. They have breakfast here and serve evening drinks. The views are great and you can get a bird’s eye view of the city before you head out.

The hotel’s location makes getting out and exploring Rome easy. It’s in the charming district of Monti, between the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum (both are about a 15-minute walk away). This means most of the city’s sites are within walking distance.

Transfer time: approx. 55 mins by private car from Rome Fiumicino airport or approx. 35 mins from Rome Ciampino airport.

Rome

The capital city of Rome is Italy’s masterwork. You can marvel at the Colosseum, Vatican City and Roman Forum with just 48 hours in the city, thanks to a UNESCO-listed historic centre with a roll call of millennia-old ruins and soaring domes.

Away from the well-worn paths, Rome has plenty of surprises up its sleeve. Dive into tangled medieval neighbourhoods like Trastevere for narrow trattoria-lined streets and hidden chapels - the area comes alive at night with locals enjoying an aperitivo before heading out to dinner. Discover the city's stunning piazzas, framed by ornate buildings and boasting intricate baroque fountains. Or take some time out in the manicured Villa Borghese gardens with ancient villas that showcase some of history's most revered works of art.

And just when you think you’ve seen it all, the city changes. An ever-changing flow of new restaurants, art exhibitions and festivals means that there’s always an excuse to revisit Rome.
