Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

Hotel Prima Luna is known for its warm hospitality and fantastic location. It’s opposite Spiaggia Campagnola, which is one of the best beaches in the area. This means you can lay down a towel and soak up the sun next to the lake or take a dip in the water. The gentle slope makes it perfect for little ones too.

The hotel has a rich character. Expect vintage furniture and individually-styled rooms. Every room has partial lake views but we recommend upgrading to an Ambient Room, which are on the first floor and have full lake views. There’s nothing better than sitting out on your balcony with a morning coffee and admiring the lake.

A large pool overlooks the lake and there’s a separate pool for children. There’s plenty of loungers and even a whirlpool for when you need to relax. When you’re ready to explore Malcesine, a pleasant 15-minute walk along the lakefront promenade will take you right to the centre. Here, you'll find a superb selection of shops and restaurants and the ferry port that provides easy access to days out in neighbouring resorts.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 30 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Malcesine

Malcesine has a lot going for it and it’s perfect for anyone seeking an active holiday. It’s in the north of the lake so you’ve got lots of mountain trails to explore. The cable car goes straight from the town to the top of Monte Baldo, which is a starting point for lots of walk and cycles. The views from up here are incredible so we won’t blame you if you just want to sit and enjoy them instead. The town’s also big on watersports – you can try your hand at sailing or paddle boarding.

Malcesine is one of Lake Garda’s most recognisable resorts. Its beautiful 13th century castle makes it easy to spot from the water. If you go and take a closer look you’ll be rewarded with some pretty impressive lake views. They often have weddings here so you can imagine how romantic it is. The rest of Malcesine feels just as romantic thanks to the little cobbled streets and charming cafés. There’s a long promenade from the southern end of the town where you can walk for a few miles along the lake. There’s a busy ferry port too so you can head to some nearby towns like Limone or Riva very easily.
