One night each week, the team at Prima Luna organise for dinner to be served in a more informal setting in the delightful beach bar restaurant on the terrace. 

There are two pools set in the flourishing gardens of the Prima Luna with one being designed for children so an ideal spot for families, couples and solo travelers alike to kick back in the Malcesine sunshine and enjoy the exceptional views. An outdoor whirlpool is also available for guests to use along with sun loungers and parasols. For those looking to get out and explore the resort, Malcesine centre can be reached on foot in just 15 minutes along the lakeside promenade. Here, you'll find a superb selection of shops and restaurants amongst the ancient cobbled streets and the ferry port just off the promenade providing easy access to days out in Riva and other neighbouring resorts.

Having been renovated in recent years, rooms at the Prima Luna have had quite the makeover. With eclectic art prints, exposed pipes and brickwork, the rooms here have an incredibly contemporary feel whilst still remaining comfortable and homely. With good amenities and views over the lake or pool, this is truly the perfect spot for those seeking rest and relaxation in an accommodation unlike any other.

Meals

The Prima Luna restaurant is bright and modern with striking interior. Exposed lighting fixtures, reformed driftwood tables and benches teamed with floor to ceiling windows providing some incredibly panoramic views of the lake and mountains beyond create a wonderful ambiance. Renowned for its fresh fish and elegant cuisine, the menu here has something for everyone. The breakfast buffet served each morning is largely continental but omelettes can be made on request and the in house pastry chef creates some stunning breakfast pastries both sweet and savoury along with breads, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit and rich Italian coffee. Dinner is a three course menu with plenty of choice and everything is homemade and locally produced where possible and so provide a true taste of Italian cuisine and hearty home cooking.  

The beach bar at Prima Luna is located within steps of the swimming pool and offers up a superb wine list along with the classic Italian cocktails we all know and love complimented by some in house creations and twists on the traditional. During the day, you can also purchase lunch here from the a la carte menu which boats fresh homemade pastas, sandwiches, salads and of course gelato.

Malcesine

Malcesine’s pedestrianised cobbled streets lead up from the lakeside, past shops, cafés and shady squares to the 13th Century castle which towers above the lake on a sheer rock face. The Saturday market is not to be missed and the excellent ferry service makes Riva and Limone easily accessible too. The long promenade leads out from the resort’s southern end past shingle beaches to lovely Val di Sogno, an idyllic spot for lake bathing and watersports. Take the cable-car to the top of Monte Baldo behind Malcesine. Here you will enjoy superb views, an abundance of walks and beautiful nature. With so much variety and character, your holiday in Malcesine is an ideal choice.

Nestled in the manicured gardens and overlooking the bay of Malcesine, the open air swimming pool and whirlpool at Prima Luna are the the ideal spot for sitting back and relaxing in the Lake Garda sunshine. With waters heated to 32 degrees, and plenty of sun loungers and parasols at your disposal this is the best place to escape the hustle and bustle of every day lift and embrace La Dolce Vita.
