Hotel Pace

Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

We love Hotel Pace’s location. It’s in the centre of Sirmione and on the edge of the lake – it really doesn’t get much better. Walk through the hotel’s gardens to get to the bathing platform on the lake. There’s loungers and parasols here and it feels nice and peaceful. It’s one of our favourite places to spend the day. Breakfast is served out on the terrace during the summer too so you can enjoy the lake views with your cappuccino. The ferry port is a few steps down the shore so when you’re ready, hop on a ferry and view the lake from the water.

The hotel’s got an elegant style that was inspired by Britain. It’s what makes it feel so welcoming and cosy. The Barelli family have run it since 1984 and want to make sure everyone feels relaxed here. There’s only 22 rooms and each one has comfy furnishings and a balcony with views of the lake.

Transfer time: approx. 45 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Sirmione

Sirmione really has that wow factor. It’s one of the most distinguishable resorts on Lake Garda thanks to its fairy-tale like castle. You’ll need to cross the moat to get into the historic centre – get the camera ready for some great Instagram shots here. Once you’re inside the centre is traffic free and full of interesting shops, restaurants and bars. This is one of the best places on the lake to get gelato so grab a couple of scoops as you wander round and explore. Sirmione’s peninsula is only three kilometres long so you can easily walk the whole length. The centre is always busy but has a great atmosphere. If you head to the tip of the peninsula you’ll find beaches and an old Roman Palace. Sirmione’s a spa town so make sure you spend some time relaxing in the natural thermal waters too.
