The Grand Hotel Imperial gives a great first impression. The historic building, beautiful fountain and the well-established gardens make it feel really special straight away. It first opened as a hotel in 1900 and was recently closed for a complete restoration. We love the marble floors, frescoed ceilings and Murano glass chandeliers. Keep an eye out for the historical pictures and old photographs on the wall that bring the history to life. The rooms are pretty special too with parquet floors, high ceilings and antique furniture.
As special as this place is inside, the outside is even better. The grounds are large with beautiful, well-established gardens. There’s plenty of paths to walk around before dinner and just admire the mountain views. There’s a large outdoor pool in the gardens with lots of loungers and parasols. There’s a poolside bar too to keep you glass topped up. There’s also a thermal pool in the spa where you can still enjoy the views thanks to the large windows. You can easily spend all day in the spa and use the whirlpool, saunas and steam rooms. It’s perfect if you’ve been keeping active and exploring Lake Levico’s walking and cycling trails.
The hotel’s just 200 meters from the centre of Levico Terme where there’s lots of shops, museums and art galleries to explore. There’s also a public beach that’s close to the ferry terminal so you can get further afield. Levico is known for its gastronomy and you have to try some of the fantastic fish restaurants that line the promenade along with cocktail bars and family run bakeries.
