Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

Set a few minutes’ walk outside the bustling resort of Ischia Town, the Grand Hotel Punta Molino offers a relaxing seaside escape. Set above a sandy bay, the five star hotel has been carefully designed to fit in with the landscape whilst making the most of the cliffside sea views.  Rooms here are decorated in a typical style with vietri tiles and large windows or a balcony with garden or sea views.

The fantastic restaurants and shops of Ischia Town make for a great evening out but you can also experience an excellent evening at the hotel’s restaurant La Terraza where you can sample local food whilst enjoying panoramic views. Those wanting to relax can enjoy the two outdoor swimming pools (open April to October), one freshwater and one which uses the island’s natural thermal water, and the small sandy beach (open May to October) that’s equipped with sun loungers and a bar. For the ultimate in relaxation though, we recommend heading to the spa where you’ll find a further thermal pool and a range of beauty treatments to enjoy.

Island of Ischia

Ischia is an example of island life done the Italian way. It’s the biggest island in the Bay of Naples, laying out medieval castles, clifftop botanical gardens, sandy beaches, hot springs and lively harbour towns along its coastline.

The centre of the island is another story altogether. Here, Mount Epomeo scrapes the clouds. Hikers tackle its sloping walking trails, which wander past caves and pine-green forests. You’ll even find the occasional vineyard clinging to the rocky slopes – usually family-run affairs with swooping views over the Bay of Naples.

Inghams operate a telephone Rep service on the Island of Ischia.

Things to do in resort

This little island between Ischia and the mainland is one of the Neapolitan Riviera’s best kept secrets. A stunning landscape of pastel-coloured houses lead down to the quanit harbour where you can sample the freshest seafood.

La Mortella Gardens

These award-winning botanical gardens are an exquisite blend of exotic flowers and ornate fountains, all carefully arranged to allow glimpses of the glistening Mediterranean.

Thermal Spas

Ischia’s volcanic origins means the island is home to numerous thermal spas. Many hotels have wellness centres using the natural waters, or head to one of the thermal gardens that combine pools with lush green surroundings.
