Salento

Salento is the name given to the southernmost peninsula of Puglia where the Itria Valley ends and is home to some pretty whitewashed towns such as Gallipoli and Ostuni. The beautiful city of Lecce is also well worth a visit to see the fantastic, flamboyant baroque architecture and Roman amphitheatre. As the peninsula is narrow the beach is never far away and here some of the best beaches are to be found with white sand and crystalline waters.

Inghams operate a telephone Rep service in Salento.

Restaurants & Bars

Puglia is very much a hub of excitement when it comes to cuisine and the team at Grand Hotel Costa Brada lead by head chef Andrea Mola are quick to provide their own culinary flare. With three restaurants on site, the Costa Brada has something to offer every palate.

Panoramic Restaurant With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the glittering Ionian sea below, this is an ideal choice for anniversaries, birthdays or even just for an extra special evening. Offering up a plethora of traditional Apuglian cuisine including crudo di mare which is raw fish marinated gently in lemon juice, this is the place for those wanting to truly immerse themselves in Puglian heritage.

Fico d'India Perched in the gardens and overlooking the swimming pool, this casual and open air restaurant is ideal for a spot of lunch and to enjoy daily specialties from a seasonal buffet of fresh vegetables, salads, fish and meats all cooked on the grill.

Solebrado Open from June to September, this pizzeria and seafood restaurant is a hit with groups and couples wanting an informal evening. With both a stunning indoor space and peaceful sun terrace for you to take your meals, you can expect to see fresh fish, local meats and of course stone baked pizzas all made with locally sourced ingredients where possible.

Bars There are also two bars at the Costa Brada, the informal pool bar open from June until September until 6pm each evening and 'Bar Hall' which is ultra modern and stylish where you can enjoy light snacks and nightcaps every day until midnight. The perfect spot for enjoying an exotic cocktail or ice cold Limoncello.

Pools and Beaches

Surrounded by luscious native greenery, the pool at Hotel Costa Brada is amply sized with a generous amount of sun loungers and parasols scattered around creating the perfect spot for some rest and relaxation in the Puglian sunshine. For those wanting to dip their toes into the spectacular Ionian sea, head down to the impressive strip of private beach where parasols and loungers are provided for those staying on a half board basis. White sands give way to turquoise waters and are home to some of the most glorious sunsets the south of Italy has to offer.
