Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

The Grotta Giusti hotel is housed in a 19th Century Villa that has been fully restored to its original magnificence. Set in the beautiful Tuscan countryside just three and a half miles from Montecatini Terme and half way between the Tuscan cities of Luca and Florence. Unique to the hotel is the thermal caves which are the largest in Europe, you can enjoy natural springs of varying temperatures. This is a place to truly relax and unwind, made easy to do so by the beautiful natural surrounding and the natural Thermal spa, where you can experience a steam bath in the natural caves, pools with hydro massage and soothing waterfalls. If that’s not enough to keep you relaxed and entertained, the hotel offers a wide range of sporting facilities, including tennis courts and a golf course (all payable locally).

Enjoy a pre-dinner drink or cocktail in the Bar Il Poeta and after, dine in the splendor of the Guisti Room with its magnificent frescoed ceiling. This was the room in which local dignitaries would be hosted and entertained back in the 19th Century. On warm evenings you can also choose to eat outside on the pergola or under the stars on the terrace beside the pool. The guest rooms retain the historic luxury and refinement of the historic villa, adorned with luxury fabrics, paintings and antiques. In the morning wake up and find yourself in a comfortable and calm oasis.

Northern Tuscany & Montecatini

North Tuscany is home to two of Italy’s most famous cities: Florence and Pisa. Here, art galleries, palazzos and Michelin-starred restaurants vie for your attention.

For something a little more laid-back, consider staying in a smaller city. Little Lucca comes ringed by Renaissance walls. Cycle or walk them for long-range views over both the city and Tuscan countryside.

Meanwhile, the thermal waters of Montecatini have been reeling in day trippers since Roman times. Explore the art nouveau Terme Tettuccio before hopping on the oldest funicular in the world. It takes you up to Montecatini Alto – a medieval village with spectacular views of North Tuscany.
