Sina Brufani has an impressive history. It first opened in 1884 and has welcomed plenty of distinguished guests since then, including the Queen Mother. We love the character of this hotel. They’ve carefully upgraded the property to include a bit of five-star luxury but they’ve done it in a way that celebrates the building’s history. Every room is individually decorated with antique furniture and either soft carpets or parquet floors. The star of the show is the spa – it’s under Medieval vaults and the pool has a glass bottom so you can see the 3,000-year-old Etruscan ruins as you swim.
We recommend trying the elegant Collins Restaurant where you can eat some of the best Umbrian dishes, accompanied by the region’s excellent wines. Sit outside on the terrace for an aperitif or drink after dinner. You’ll be right in the centre of Perugia here so you can sit back and enjoy the city atmosphere and stunning views across the Umbrian hills.
Car hire is recommended for this hotel. SINA Brufani is approx. 2 hours 15 mins from Rome airport.
