Fairy-tale Lake Bohinj enjoys one of the most picturesque and unspoiled natural settings at the foot of Mt Vogel. The small picturesque village of Kranjska Gora sits at the confluence of the Sava Dolinka and Pišnica valleys against the dramatic backdrop of the Julian Alps. Bovec offers a fantastic array of activities in its idyllic valley which also was the setting for many scenes from the ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ film.

Itinerary
Day 1: UK to Lake Bohinj
Arrive at Ljubljana airport and transfer to your chosen hotel in Bohinj area. Your 3-night stay will include half board.

Day 2: Lake Bohinj
A complimentary guest card will give you a variety of options to plan your days in and around Lake Bohinj, either walking or visiting places of interest. Take a panoramic boat across the lake followed by a visit to Savica Waterfall, which will take your breath away.

Day 3: Lake Bohinj or Lake Bled
You can take the local bus to Lake Bled and spend the day enjoying views from the Castle or rowing to the island. Before leaving Bled, taste “kremšnita” cream cake - it's an absolute must if you have a sweet tooth.

Day 4: Lake Bohinj to to Bovec
Transfer to Bovec by rail from Bohinjska Bistrica to Most na Soči followed by a taxi for another 45 min scenic drive. You will arrive in Bovec early afternoon for your 3-night stay at the Hotel Alp, a 3-star hotel on half board (buffet breakfast and dinner). This beautiful little village has a few shops selling local produce and a few cafes.

Day 5: Bovec
Walks and hikes or cycling trails are all well marked and Bovec offers some of the best rafting and kayaking on the river Soča, this can be booked locally.

Day 6: Bovec
Those who would like to discover about the military history, can visit the corners and the areas of the Soča Valley, where the mighty battles used to rage during World War I. It left many forts, caverns, trenches, ruins and cemeteries behind, which are now connected by The Walk of Peace. Ernest Hemingway’s novel A Farewell to Arms describes scenes of the greatest battles in this area.

Day 7: Bovec to Kranjska Gora
Transfer to Kranjska Gora. Arrive early afternoon for your 4-night stay at the hotel of your choice. Meals included as per hotel description. Enjoy the small village of Kranjska Gora with a selection of coffee shops all surrounded with a superb view of the peaks of the beautiful Julian Alps mountains.

Day 8: Kranjska Gora
At leisure to enjoy the resort and local walks to Lake Jasna or Zelenci nature reserve. There are many local hikes or walks to enjoy at your leisure.

Day of leisure for walking, cycling or relaxing. Triple Border (Peč) at 1508m is a peak where Austria, Italy and Slovenia meet and offers some spectacular view of the Julian Alps.

Day of leisure for walking, cycling or relaxing or visiting Ljubljana using local transport.
