Austrian Tyrol, Austria, Alpbach
With uninterrupted views of the stunning Alpbach Valley from its south-facing gardens, the Alpbacherhof is one of Alpbach’s longest established hotels and very popular with Inghams guests who return annually. 2 minutes from the village centre it has fantastic access to walks, and for relaxation there is an interconnected indoor/outdoor pool and 1000m² spa area and a delightful redesigned garden with a log cabin sauna and relaxation area with loungers. The hotel has a lovely sun terrace ideal for breakfast outside, and an ‘old English’ style lounge where our guests can enjoy free afternoon cake. The hospitable Margreiter family is justifiably proud of the hotel’s new four star superior rating and always ensure high standards of personal service and a warm welcome.
There are very few flat sections in and around Alpbach. We would not recommend this resort for guests with limited mobility.

Surrounded by meadows and forests and set against the beautiful backdrop of the Gratlspitz peaks, this fairytale village has lost none of its ‘olde worlde’ charm with picturesque overhanging eaves and balconies with wonderful flowers. The village is a haven of peace and quiet and surrounded by picturesque walking country, from gentle rambles through meadows and woodland to the highest slopes accessed by the Wiedersbergerhorn gondola. There are several shops, restaurants and cafés with flower decked terraces and the village brass band plays regularly throughout the summer, dressed in national costume. The ‘Alpbach Seenland Card’ gives guests free use of all gondolas and buses in the valley, plus free entrance to many local attractions.
