Vitalhotel Schermer is Westendorf’s stand out hotel and is the ideal base for both experienced skiers and snowboarders and learners. The hotel has the best of both worlds, located halfway between the main village gondola and the nursery slopes.

Local Food

Hotel owners Jakob and Andrea Schermer can be found working in the hotel every day, which lends a friendly, family feel to this luxury hotel. The food is made with local produce wherever possible, including milk, yoghurt and cheese from the village dairy or from the Schermer Family’s own farm.

The hotel is home to the Schermer Vital World, an extensive wellness area including multiple saunas, steam rooms, infrared cabins and a relaxation area. Take a dip in the indoor-outdoor pool for spectacular views of the mountains as you swim, perfect on a crisp winter evening.

Known for being a quiet and attractive resort, Westendorf actually enjoys access to two vast ski areas – SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental area and Kitzbühel. Situated on an open plateau in the wide Brixen valley, this small pretty Tyrolean village is the perfect family friendly resort.

Skiing and snowboarding in Westendorf

With the nursery slopes directly beside the village centre and an excellent children’s programme provided by the ski school, Westendorf is perfect for those just finding their ski legs.

On the tree-lined runs above the village, the resort also has some unexpectedly challenging slopes to get your teeth into. A gondola links Westendorf with Brixen and the rest of the slopes of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental area (a total of nine resorts) with a huge variety of skiing for both intermediate and advanced skiers.

Access to the Kitzbühel ski area, with a further 234km of pistes, is via the Ki-West gondola (Super Ski Card required for this).
