Arguably the best located hotel in Chamonix. The Savoy nursery slopes are literally just over the road from the hotel, from where the Savoy téléski lift whisks you up to the Brévent gondola, to access one of the best intermediate areas in the resort. Alternatively, the ski-bus to Chamonix's other ski areas stops just 50m away. The hotel's attractive dining room has semi-circular bay windows with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Here you will enjoy our great choice of menus and complimentary quality wines for dinner. We offer the conviviality of larger tables for chalet-style dining with your fellow guests, or the opportunity to dine à deux should you wish. The atmospheric lounge/bar welcomes you to relax after dinner over coffee and a night-cap, whilst the huge sun terrace offers the same stunning Mont Blanc views as the dining room, and makes an ideal spot to round off your ski day with a well earned drink! The resort centre is just 4 minutes' walk with an excellent choice of bars and restaurants.

Chamonix

With 90% of the terrain above 2000m, Chamonix has for many years attracted skiers looking for good snow and who also want to ski the famous Vallée Blanche - or tackle the rest of the extensive off-piste skiing. There is an efficient ski bus which links the five main ski areas with our accommodation in Chamonix and the nearby village of Les Houches. Set against truly spectacular scenery at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc, the resort's setting is both unique and breathtaking. Chamonix offers an excellent range of sporting and leisure facilities with an unrivaled nightlife whilst Les Houches is quieter but full of Alpine charm. The choice of skiing is amazing, from cruisy blues and fun reds at Le Brevent, Flegere and Le Tour to more challenging runs at Les Grands Montets. Beginners start off in Chamonix or the nearby pretty village of Les Houches.

Note for winter 2018/19

There has been some damage in the summer to the mid station of the Grands Montets and Lognan gondolas and they may not be open in the winter. There will still be access to the Grands Montets area via the Plan Jordan gondola to the main bowl and the only area that may be un-accessible is the Bouchard and Herse chairlift. The Grands Montets has huge off piste and our ski school have said that it is business as usual with instructors guiding on different parts of the mountain.

The local lift pass does not cover the top lifts of the Grands Montets and this pass is most suitable for beginners. The other ski areas will be fully open

  • Brevent & Flegere: 16 pistes
  • Le Tour: 19 pistes
  • Les Houches: 27 pistes

And Grands Montets will have 12 out of 15 pistes.
