Destinations where we offer Guided walks
Our standout walks
Eiger Trail, Grindelwald
“The bucket-list Eiger Trail in Grindelwald leads beneath the mighty North Face of the Eiger Mountain. You feel so small against all that rock and sky, and the views are incredible. Although it’s a moderate to challenging walk, it felt less like a hike and more like a quiet conversation with the mountain itself. After being on my list for so long, it definitely didn’t disappoint.”
- Hannah, Product Executive
In the heart of the UNESCO Puez Odle Nature Park, Dolomites
“What an incredible day I had on the Inghams Guided walk to the Puez Odle Nature Park, it’s hard to pick just one highlight. We saw some incredible views along the way like the Pieralongia – a natural rock which juts out from the ground. Mid way we stopped in a rifugio and the group had lunch together whilst tucking into some delicious local food. We also learnt lots of interesting facts about the local flora, fauna and wildlife from our guides, their local knowledge was endless!"
- Robyn, Product Manager
Stilluptal Walk, Mayrhofen
“The guided walk through the Stilluptal valley was far more rewarding than I expected. The path was easy, following the river down from the top of the valley – and with only the gentle sound of the river and the occasional cow bell it was incredibly calming. The walk never felt rushed or too tough and having someone local talk about the valley and point things out as we walked made it more memorable. By the end, I’d thoroughly enjoyed it - being outside, moving and taking in such breathtaking views. What’s not to love? Highly recommend!”
- Julie, Brand & Campaigns Manager
Lac of the Cheserys, Chamonix
“Thanks to the Inghams Guide, I took on a challenging yet rewarding hike with confidence. The full-day adventure tested my fitness and nerves with steep ascents and several ladder climbs. The accomplishment and stunning views from Lac Cheserys across to Mont Blanc are absolutely worth it.”
- Vicky, Strategic Projects Director
Guided Walks FAQs
You can book your walk at the same time as booking your holiday online or on the phone with our Walking Specialists. If you’ve already booked your holiday and would like to add a walk on, you can do this through ‘Manage My Booking.
You can’t currently book walks for Mayrhofen, Zell am See, Grindelwald and Wengen online but our Walking Specialists will be happy to add these on for you if you give us a call.
Not at all. We’ve graded our walks and provide the distance, elevation and terrain details so we do ask that you check these to ensure you have the ability to be able to complete the walk. Many of our guided walks are rated easy to moderate and the guides will always support all members of the group. Please be mindful of your fitness levels and come prepared with the correct footwear for the terrain.
If you’re unsure if a walk is right for you and would like more information, our Destination Experts will be able to give you more information.
The majority of our walks will have a small group of around 10-12 people (sometimes less). In more popular destinations there may be more people on some days.
You’ll need suitable walking shoes with good grip, appropriate clothing, sun cream, insect repellent, sunglasses, a rain jacket, a rucksack, at least a litre of water, a snack, and cash for restaurants/transport. You may also find walking poles useful.
We’ve included these as part of your holiday so you don’t have to pay any extra to join a walk. However, some walks will use the cable cars and lifts or may need public transport to reach the starting point, and this will be payable locally. You can find the full details of any local costs on the walk information on our destination pages.
