Lapland Climate & Clothing

Lapland's crisp dry type of cold is quite comfortable when you are wearing protective winter clothing. Warm thermal suits and boots can be pre-booked or hired locally. We recommend: Warm ski suit or rented thermal overalls; Long thermal underwear, warm socks and boots; Several light layers of under garments; Ski goggles or sunglasses; Hats and gloves

Lapland Daylight hours & temperatures

Days in the Arctic circle are shortest and coldest from early December to mid-January (5-6 hours average, -14 to -12 degrees). By March and April daylight hours are longer than in the UK (13 - 18 hours) and temperatures warmer (-8 to -2 degrees).

Santa Breaks for 3 and 4 nights

Our extra special Santa breaks let your children meet Santa and his elves. You can help bake Gingerbread in Santa's workshop, hidden deep in the forest, experience reindeer sleigh rides, dash through enchanting pine forests on a snowmobile or try out snowshoeing! We include a private meeting with Santa for every family during an afternoon of fun, games and activities at one of Santa's workshops as well as a yummy special Christmas dinner with Santa arriving with small gifts and certificates for your children on the last night of the holiday.
