The Foersterhaus zum Kramerwirt is a perfect pick if you're looking for good value and comfortable accommodation in Mayrhofen along with the great service that a four star hotel offers.

Location

The 3* Foersterhaus zum Kramerwirt is an annexe building of the 4* Alpenhotel Kramerwirt and located 50 metres from the main hotel. It's located in the centre of Mayrhofen, just a short walk to the gondola stations and with a ski bus stop nearby.

It's also conveniently located above the popular Billa supermarket - early deliveries may cause some light noise but we think this is a perfect opportunity to grab some rolls or snacks for a cheap and cheerful lunch up the mountain.

4 Star Dining

Breakfast and evening meals are served in the main hotel building of the 4* Alpenhotel Kramerwirt. You can expect a warm welcome here and excellent hearty Austrian food.

On the famous Zillertal ski area – you’ll have 535km of pistes. Be sure to explore Hintertux glacier – you can’t get enough of the powder skiing and sweeping views. You’re above the clouds here meaning you’ll avoid any of the poor weather further down the mountain.

Mayrhofen is a heavyweight resort for skiers, boarders and freestylers. If you’re a freestyler you won’t want to miss a chance to practice your tricks one of Europe’s largest snow parks – Penken park. You’ll find it on the sunny side of the Hornberg mountain – split into six separate areas, it even has its own chairlift.

You can also try Austria’s steepest run – the Hara Kiri. If completed you’ll win a ‘I survived Hara Kiri’ t-shirt. There is plenty for beginners too – with learning areas, quality teaching and many blue runs.

Bars and restaurants in Mayrhofen

Before heading down the mountain why not enjoy a drink inside the igloo village – all ages love it here. On your way down you won’t be able to resist a stop off at the lively Pilzbar – you’ll hear the party a mile off.

Once your back in town the fun continues - whether it’s a relaxed cocktail, friendly pub or wild party Mayrhofen has you covered. The night usually begins in the ice bar and ends in the early hours at Brück'n Stadl. You’ll quickly find out why Austrian après ski is famous. If you can’t hold out until dinner we recommend Gasser deli – serving traditional meats, it is the perfect pit stop before après ski.
