Inghams Online Booking Security

Our entire online booking system is secured using SSL with 128 bit (high) encryption - industry standard data encryption for transmission of any personal information including credit card details you provide online. Known as the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), you can check this is active by looking for the padlock symbol on many browsers. This encryption provides greater consumer protection than many forms of offline credit card payment.

Your information is collected when you request information from us, contact us, register your preferences with myInghams on our website, subscribe to email communications, take part in competitions or surveys, provide us with feedback such as customer reviews or make a booking with us.
Information you enter into our booking forms may be collected and stored briefly by us so that we may contact you in relation to the nature of your enquiry/attempted transaction, even if you don't confirm the transaction. This may be used to send operational emails to enquire as to why the transaction was not completed. We will not use this data for any other purpose, we won't store it for longer than necessary and we certainly won't share it with any other company. Our aim is simply to provide you with the highest level of service that we can.
Sometimes we may also request additional information. For example, we may ask if you require special assistance or have a special meal preference when travelling. If you do not provide us with this information then we may not be able to meet any such special needs or requests you may have.
We will endeavour to keep your information updated whenever we get the opportunity to keep it current, accurate and complete. We will confirm the details we hold about you on request.

Inghams will not sell, or allow third parties access to your information without your approval. However, from time to time Inghams must disclose information.
We must pass your information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law. Disclosures may include the transfer of your personal information between countries. Where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country.
We will not pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide you with your booking. In making a booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons.
To ensure that we carry out your instructions accurately, to help improve our training and service, and in the interest of security, we may monitor and/or record your telephone calls and customer activities on our website including transactions. All monitoring records are and shall remain our sole property.
We do not share any information with third parties (except with other Hotelplan companies), but we would like to hold your information, where collected by us, for our own future marketing purposes (for example to inform you of promotional offers or to send you our brochures).
