If you love food, then you'll love Vienna. The city has a great variety of restaurants offering traditional Austrian cuisine, as well as other types of food from around the world. We recommend trying a slice of Sachertorte cake and sampling some fine Austrian wine.
Davos, Switzerland
Best for traditional mountain huts, all levels of walks

The food in Davos is hearty and authentic, with plenty of traditional Swiss fare. High up in the mountains, the huts provide a welcome break during your walk and there’s plenty of them to try, from devouring a fondue at the Stafelalp, to discovering the 450 year old Bergführer restaurant in the Sertigtal which is set amongst a spectacular mountain backdrop.

Lake Annecy is a haven for foodies, and has a fantastic choice of places to eat, from friendly cafes, to glamorous Michelin star restaurants. Try the alpine liqueur Génépi which is flavoured with various alpine herbs and plants. If you’re a cheese lover you can’t miss the delicious mountain cheeses here, the town’s full of artisan cheese shops so you’ll be spoilt for choice.

All walks are subject to availability of local guides, weather conditions and maximum numbers.
