  • Inghams invites guests to “see more, do more” whilst on holiday

    The theme of the new 2014  Inghams Lakes and Mountains brochure is “Experience more.” Inghams guests are invited to try something completely new, including experiencing what it’s like to be a Strictly champion with free ballroom dancing lessons in Bled with the Slovenian national champion, Katarina Ventorini.

    Other experiences include learning to yodel in Austria, playing the iconic Alphorn in Switzerland and bridge lessons in Belle Plagne, France.  Holiday prices start at £414, for 7 nights, half board plus in Mayrhofen, Austria, and include transfers and flights from Gatwick.


    Inghams Top 10 Festivals

    As well as a wealth of new experiences, the summer 2014 brochure includes a calendar of festivals and concerts adding local colour and flavour to make a truly memorable holiday. Choose from a wide range of events including the world famous Verona and Bregenz Operas, Munich Oktoberfest and the St. Johann Knodelfest in Austria - the 33rd Dumpling Festival with the world’s longest dumpling table!


    6 New Resorts

    Inghams has also introduced 6 new resorts for summer 2014 including Meiringen, Switzerland, made famous as the setting where Sherlock Holmes defeated his enemy Professor Moriarty in 1891 and the quaint lakeside town of Ascona on the Swiss tip of Lake Maggoire, the  perfect retreat for a relaxing holiday. In Austria the resort of Oberlech, perched above Lech offers excellent walking opportunities, whilst Kirchberg offers an affordable alternative to Kitzbühel, located just 6km away. The charming resort of Bad Reichenhall has been added to Inghams Bavarian programme and Gressoney in Italy is a walkers’ paradise in the glorious Monta Rosa Alps.


    New Monastery Escapes in Italy

    Following the success of last summer, Inghams has added another ‘Monastery Escape to the summer programme, providing the ultimate escape from the pressures of everyday life. The Neustift Monastery is located near Brixen in Italy, was founded in 1142 and is run by Augustinian monks with prices starting from £514 for 3 nights half board.


    New Walking & Cycling Holidays

    For those seeking a more active holiday, Inghams has introduced the ‘Treasures of Danubecycling holiday, a 7 day cycling holiday from Passau to Vienna, staying in comfortable 4* hotels along the way with prices starting from £724. New walking holidays include exploring the Venosta Valley in Merano, Italy; discovering rural Croatia and Triglav National Park and Karavanke Mountains in Slovenia.


    Chalet Hotels

    Inghams Chalet Hotels continue to be increasingly popular as guests receive not only a hot breakfast, packed lunch and afternoon tea, but also a 5-course evening meal with unlimited wine. New for 2014 is the  Chalet Hotel Valverde in Gressoney, Monte Rosa, Italy, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Chalet Hotel is located next door to one of the resort’s main lifts, giving guests easy access to mountain walking trails. Prices start from £474 per person travelling on May 31st 2014 and include return flights from Gatwick, transfers and 7 nights’ Half Board Plus accommodation. Regional flights are available at a supplement.


    Inghams Plus Savings

    New Flights

    With the emphasis on flexible travel options, Inghams has introduced a new Wednesday Gatwick to Innsbruck charter flight allowing guests to choose 10 &11 night holiday options, and new regional departures from Leeds-Bradford, Edinburgh and Cambridge. Inghams has also added an additional Wednesday flight from Gatwick to Ljubljana and several new routes to Norway. Inghams holidays depart from 23 UK airports.
