Nature and wildlife with Inghams Summer

We all know nature has a way of making you feel revived and rejuvenated – and those picture-perfect places you see on postcards really do exist! In Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, you’ll find alpine valleys, crystal-clear rivers and protected habitats within Triglav National Park, with the chance to spot ibex and chamois along the way.

Over in Grindelwald, Switzerland, the mighty Eiger creates an unforgettable backdrop for exploring the great outdoors. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and soak up those jaw-dropping views.

Use the filters below to narrow down your options by date, facilities and more, and find the destination that’s the right fit for your next summer holiday.

Step into the spectacular landscapes of the Dolomites in the Puez Odle and Fanes Senes Braies Nature Parks, both part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stretching out around Corvara and Colfosco, these vast mountain landscapes are made for exploring, with a huge network of walking trails winding through dramatic peaks, flower filled meadows and ancient rock formations.

Take to the trails and you’ll find a constantly changing backdrop of jagged mountains, lush valleys and fascinating geological features. Whether you’re looking for a gentle stroll or a longer mountain adventure, these incredible natural landscapes offer some of the most memorable walking in the Dolomites.

Around four kilometres outside of Kranjska Gora you'll find Zelenci Nature Park, a wetland area with a small emerald green lake with crystal clear waters that never freeze - even in winter. There's a small boardwalk you can use to access the lake and you'll be in awe of the surroundings with the dramatic peaks of the Julian Alps reflected in the water - head to the small observatory for fantastic views and information on the park.

Enjoy unrivalled views from the highest cable car station in Europe at 3,883 metres above sea level. You'll need plenty of time to explore up here as the air is quite thin, but the views will certainly keep you entertained for a long while - on a clear day, views stretch as far as the Jungfrau and Mont Blanc. You can also visit the Glacier Palace which is a network of tunnels and caves 15 metres below the surface of the ice, with sculptures and an ice toboggan run.

Why not take a trip to Italy while you're there, too? The new 3S cable car link completes the Matterhorn Alpine Crossing which enables cable car travel over into Italy on a stunning panoramic journey.
