Placing nature at the heart of our impact strategy

At Inghams, championing the great outdoors is our passion, but we know that travel doesn’t come without its challenges. From the pressure on biodiversity and communities, to the global impact of carbon emissions, the way we explore the world matters. That’s why we’re committed to creating holidays that are thoughtful by nature: reducing our negative impacts, restoring and protecting the environments we love, and supporting the people and places that make our holidays special.

Here are some of our key achievements so far…

  • 19% reduction in our per person per night emissions intensity since our baseline in 2022/li>
  • Investing in carbon removal with partner Klimate since 2023
  • Introducing a train option to 30% of our resorts and 72% of French resorts are now rail bookable
  • Partnered with Rewilding Britain to support nationwide nature recovery
  • Launched Nature & Climate Action Plan 2030 in 2025
  • Inghams in 2025 has started to measure and monitor its land footprint, in collaboration with Biodiversify
  • Partnership with the Re-Action Collective on ACTionism and UN / PARA / LD - transforming waste ski gear into adaptive sit-ski garments.
  • 43% of employees carbon literacy trained
  • An equivalent of two return trips to the moon has been travelled by customers and employees by train* in 2025
  • New biodiversity partnership with Zillertal Nature Park, Austria
  • Two annual community volunteer days per employee
  • Partnership with Mind Over Mountains charity

Climate Action Plan

Our 10 step Nature and Climate Action Plan

Our ten step plan is how we protect and replenish the places we love. Between now and 2030, this roadmap guides how we will care for nature, act on climate and support our communities.

It is built on four pillars: Respect, Reduce, Reconnect and Replenish, with one goal in mind: championing the great outdoors.

Respecting

Respecting nature, and the communities who call the places we visit, home.

1. Respecting local and indigenous communities as nature custodians.

2. Respecting employees as changemakers for fairer futures.

3. Respecting animal protection policy

4. Respecting our role as advocates for change
