After listening to tales of Sami traditions, join a husky safari – the team will whisk you across amazing Arctic trails. Come evening, you can wrap up warm and head out in search of the Northern Lights. Pure bliss.

► Day 1 – Arrive in Ylläs and settle into your snowy surroundings. Wrap up warm and take a stroll through the resort before enjoying a cosy first evening. Your Destination Expert is on hand to help – like sharing what facilities and activities the resort has to offer.  

► Day 2 –  Add an extra thrill to your Arctic adventure with a snowmobile safari across frozen fells and glistening lakes. By day, set off on a 20km ride through a true winter wonderland of snow-covered landscapes. Along the way you’ll refuel with a hot berry juice at a traditional Finnish kota before continuing your festive journey.  

You could also opt for an evening snowmobile adventure and swap landscapes for skyscapes as you glide beneath the stars in search of the Northern Lights. There’s time to pause with a hot drink as your guide shares stories and legends about the Northern Lights – just what you need before setting off again.  

► Day 3 – Enjoy an optional husky safari and race through the Arctic wilderness behind a team of eager dogs. Adults (18+), this is your chance to drive the sleigh while the others ride as passengers.  

Afterwards, warm up with a hot chocolate back in resort.  

► Day 4 – This is your free day to spend however you wish – whether you want to join another optional activity or simply relax at the resort at your hotel’s sauna or head out for some festive shopping. The choice is yours! 

► Day 5 – Pull on a pair of snowshoes and head out to explore Lapland's peaceful winter landscapes. Going at a slower pace, you’ll feel really immersed in the Finnish Lapland scenery and might even spot local wildlife, like reindeer, along the way. 

Amp up the adrenaline on an electric fat bike (E-Fat biking). Thanks to their wider tyres, it’s easy to weave your way through the snowy terrain and take in those serene views.

► Day 8 – It’s time to head home, taking with you plenty of magical memories and stories to tell. But not before soaking up those final snowy moments. Enjoy one last crunch through the snow before you go – the perfect way to round off your Santa Break.

• Excursion days and times are subject to change. While we will do our best to provide advance notice, some adjustments may be necessary. Our Excursion Coordinator and Destination Experts will be available in the resort to assist with any changes.
• Times and distances are approximate and may vary due to weather and other conditions. In extremely cold temperatures or bad weather conditions excursions may be cancelled at late notice.
• To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, excursions are only available for children aged 3 years and above. Infants 0-2 years are not permitted.
• Prices and supplements are correct at time of publishing but may vary up or down. Correct prices will be advised at the time of booking.
• Travel insurance is a condition of booking with us, and you should ensure that your chosen policy covers the activities that you plan to take part in during your holiday. Your policy should provide cover for your own personal and medical expenses, however individual policies will not cover damage to snowmobiles or skidoos and a compulsory excess will be payable directly to the supplier of the snowmobile/skidoo excursion.

• Snowmobile – Drivers must be 18+ with a full, valid photo driver’s license. Passengers must be 11+ and 140cm+ tall. Children under 11 or under 140cm will be towed in a sled/pod (heating not guaranteed).
• Excursion experiences and durations vary between resorts and are dependent on weather conditions
• Most excursion days and times will be advised shortly after booking, others will be confirmed on arrival in resort
• Travel Insurance is required for booking. Must cover planned activities and personal circumstances, including medical conditions. Snowmobile damage is not usually covered so a compulsory excess is payable directly to the supplier of the excursion. Single-driver snowmobile supplement available in all resorts (18+ only).
• Cancellation: In the event of cancellation of a qualifying excursion, the cost of the excursion, minus the % saving on the total package, will be deducted from any refund due. You will then be charged full price for any remaining excursions.
