Intermediate skiing in Ylläs

Ylläs is ideal for intermediates, with an excellent range of blue and red slopes through the treeline or on the open fellside - plus the floodlit slopes, mean you can extend your ski day, even when the sun has set.

Finland's longest slope - Jättipitkä can be found in Ylläs, the 3 kilometre long run is ideal for picking up speed and improving your technique. Wherever you are in the area, you'll be surrounded by incredible views of the snow covered trees as far as the eye can see.

Advanced skiing in Ylläs

While Finland isn't known for it's challenging slopes, there is a good selection of red and black runs including the Länsirinne and Saaga runs. The Jättipitkä run is a favourite amongst advanced skiers and boarders, as Finlands longest run you can pick up the speed and carve your way down to the bottom in no time.

The real appea is the off-piste and backcountry possibilities. Ylläs is known for its access to untouched powder through gentle ski-touring or by branching just off the marked pistes into the trees and open fell areas.
