A guide to the nightlife in Les Arcs on a skiing holiday

Is there nightlife in Les Arcs?

Yes! Les Arcs is known for its wide, snow-sure slopes and incredible access to the Paradiski ski area - but when the lifts stop turning, the resort has plenty to offer off the mountain too. From lively après ski and late-night clubs to atmospheric wine bars and cafés, Les Arcs’ nightlife has something for everyone.

Whether you’re there with friends looking for energy and music, or as a couple after a relaxed glass of wine by the fire, here’s our guide to making the most of the evenings in Les Arcs.

Après ski: straight from the slopes

Après in Les Arcs often starts on the mountain:

  • Folie Douce Arc 1800 - is the headline act, bringing its signature mix of DJs, live performers and dancing on tables to the Paradiski slopes. It’s the place to go if you want a big, buzzing atmosphere before heading back down to resort.
  • For something more laid-back but still social, many skiers gather around the slope-side bars in Arc 1800 and Arc 1950. You’ll find sunny terraces for that post-ski drink with friends, where a vin chaud or cold beer goes down well after a day on the mountain.

Bars and pubs in Les Arcs

Les Arcs is a collection of villages, and each has its own nightlife personality:

  • Arc 1800 - the liveliest base, with a good mix of après bars and late-night pubs. Popular spots like Red Hot Saloon are a go-to for live music and an upbeat atmosphere. If you’re in a larger group and want a fun, sociable night, this is your best bet.
  • Arc 1950 & Arc 2000 – more compact and atmospheric, but you’ll still find cosy bars with character. O’Chaud in Arc 1950 offers a great cocktail menu and warm, stylish interiors - perfect for couples or smaller groups.
  • Arc 1600 – quieter, with a handful of relaxed pubs and bars where the atmosphere is friendly and low-key. Ideal if you prefer a drink without the crowds.

Where to stay in Les Arcs?

Late-night clubs

If you’ve still got energy after a day on the slopes, Arc 1800 is where the action is. Apocalypse Nightclub is the best-known late-night spot, open until the small hours. It’s a favourite with seasonaires and groups of friends who want to dance into the early morning.

Quieter evenings

Not every night has to be about the après scene. Les Arcs also does cosy really well: think wood-panelled bars serving craft beers, or mountain cafés where you can sip hot chocolate while watching the snow fall outside. For couples, evenings in Arc 1950 feel especially romantic — stroll the pedestrianised streets, drop into a wine bar for a glass of Savoie wine, and enjoy the slower pace.

When to go for the nightlife you want?

  • Peak season (Christmas, New Year, February half-term) – the bars and clubs are at their busiest, great if you want atmosphere and energy, though expect queues at the most popular spots.
  • January to March – slightly quieter, but still lively at weekends. A good time if you want a balance of sociable après and space to enjoy the slopes.
  • April (spring skiing) – sunny terraces are at their best, and après is more about long afternoons outside with friends.
