For children, head over to Leevilandia at the South Slopes, a dedicated area packed with fun activities. From skiing and snowtubing to sledge races and adventures with Leevi the Wolverine, the excitement never stops. Kids can stay entertained for hours while building confidence on the snow.

Intermediate skiing in Levi

Levi is an excellent resort for intermediate skiers and snowboarders looking to build confidence. The ski area offers a wide selection of gentle blue and red runs across Zero Point and South Point, perfect for progressing at your own pace. The terrain is varied enough to keep things interesting, with scenic tree lined runs, open slopes and the occasional challenge to push your skills further.  The slopes are well groomed and rarely crowded, meaning you can enjoy long, uninterrupted descents without the stress of navigating through busy pistes.

Advanced skiing in Levi

While Levi isn’t known for its steep or highly technical terrain, there are still a few challenging options for more advanced skiers dotted around. The resort’s World Cup gondola slope offers a steeper, more challenging descent that’s regularly used for international competitions.

Off the marked trails, Levi can surprise you with excellent off-piste snow conditions, especially after fresh snowfall. The surrounding fells and treelined areas provide opportunities for powder skiing and exploration, though it's best suited to those with some experience and proper safety awareness.

Snowboarding in Levi

Levi is a fantastic resort for snowboarders of all abilities. Beginners and intermediates will appreciate the reliable snow conditions and wide, gentle slopes that are perfect for practising turns and building confidence. The ski area offers gentle progression opportunities, allowing you to develop your skills at a comfortable pace.

For more experienced snowboarders, Levi has plenty to offer too. There’s a variety of more challenging runs spread across the area, along with four snow parks catering to different ability levels.

Cross-country in Levi

Levi is a paradise for cross-country skiers of all abilities, with a wide network of 230 km of prepared trails when all fully open, including 28 km floodlit from 6am–11pm daily. The routes are well-marked and groomed every morning, often with kota shelters and cafés along the way. Whether you're a beginner or experienced skier, Levi’s varied terrain allows for both easy and challenging routes. It’s a low-impact, peaceful way to explore stunning natural surroundings. Printed trail maps are available for purchase at Levi Tourist Information and the Zero Point Brand Store for approx. €10 (payable locally).

A stay in Finland wouldn't be complete without a stay in a traditional log cabin, and the Levi Log Cabins and Levi Cottages are the perfect base after a day on the slopes. Our accommodations in Levi

Discover Levi

Levi is one of Finland's most popular ski resorts and for good reason. Located above the Arctic Circle, Levi offers world-class skiing and snowboarding with over 40 well-groomed slopes for all levels.

Located in northern Finnish Lapland, Levi has reliable snow conditions throughout the season, benefiting from natural snowfall and cold temperatures, ensuring excellent coverage and ideal conditions for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities.

Beyond the slopes, you can explore over 200km of cross-country ski trails, enjoy snowshoeing through peaceful forests, or experience the magic of husky safaris and reindeer sleigh rides.

Levi is Finland’s largest ski resort, offering a welcoming mix of modern Nordic dining and traditional Lapland flavours. In the resort centre, you’ll find a wide variety of cafés, restaurants and bars - from cosy coffee stops and relaxed snack bars to fine dining venues that showcase the best of local ingredients. Whether you’re after a hearty reindeer stew, a freshly baked pizza or a warming hot chocolate after a day on the slopes, Levi caters for every taste.

Café Zero is a favourite at the base of the slopes, perfect for a hot chocolate, coffee or a light lunch. Classic Pizza Restaurant serves generously topped pizzas with Finnish and international flavours, while Ravintola NiliPoro offers a rustic setting for traditional Lappish dishes such as reindeer and salmon. For something special, KingCrab House Levi focuses on high-quality seafood, and Arctic Restaurant at Hotel Levi Panorama combines seasonal Lapland produce with stunning views over the fells.

Levi is Finland’s leading resort for après ski, with most venues opening from December and building up through the winter season. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, with a mix of slope-side spots, karaoke bars and late-night venues.

Slope Restaurant Tuikku, at the top of Levi, is a popular afternoon stop. From 1–5pm you’ll find live performers, karaoke and small competitions, with plenty of space on the large terrace when the weather is clear.

Back at the base, Vinkkari draws the après crowd from 4pm, especially later in the season when DJs take over the terrace. Music leans towards Finnish pop classics, and table-dancing is something of a tradition.

In the evenings, karaoke is a real favourite in Levi. Bar Ihku is well known for its sing-along sessions, alongside DJs and live music, while Pub Hölmölä provides a quieter alternative. For larger events, Levi Areena hosts touring performers during peak months, and Crazy Reindeer stays open late for those in the mood to dance.

Many hotels and chalets also include saunas, giving you the option to swap the bar for a more traditional Finnish way to unwind after skiing.

Most of Levi’s shops are clustered in the village, making it easy to find what you need during your stay. There are small supermarkets for everyday bits and pieces, an Alko store for wine, beer, and spirits, and a pharmacy for any travel essentials.

If you’re looking for something to take home, the sports shops are well stocked with ski gear and clothing, while local boutiques offer Finnish design, handicrafts and souvenirs – from cosy woollens to reindeer hides and Sámi-inspired gifts.

The selection may be modest, but it covers all the holiday basics and includes some unique local finds worth popping in your suitcase.

After a day on the slopes, there’s nothing more Finnish than unwinding in a sauna. Most cabins and apartments in Levi come with their own private sauna, perfect for soothing tired legs in complete comfort. Many hotels also offer shared saunas, so there’s always an easy way to relax after skiing.

For something bigger, head to Levi Spa Water World, a family-friendly complex with pools, slides, jacuzzis, and a range of saunas and steam rooms. It’s a great option if you fancy swapping ski boots for swimwear, whether for a gentle swim, a splash about with the kids, or simply to soak in the warm water and let the muscles recover.

Levi combines outdoor adventure with plenty of ways to recharge – giving you the best of both on your ski holiday.
