About Levi Cottages

Kick off your Lapland ski adventure from the comfort of your own traditional Levi Cottage. Nothing beats the glow of a cosy cabin in the Arctic wilderness - especially when the ski lifts are a short walk away. You'll enjoy a blend of vibrant resort life and the remote beauty that Lapland is so iconic for. Whether you’ve spent the day carving through fresh powder or exploring the frosty forests by snowmobile, you’ll have a warm, inviting home to return to.

Every cottage comes with everything you'll need for a stress-free ski break. Whip up some well-earned post-ski snacks in the kitchen or relax by the roaring fireplace in the cosy living area. You'll even have a drying cupboard for keeping mitts and socks toasty for the next morning. When the lifts close, head to your private sauna - it's the best way to warm up and recharge after a day on the fell.

Travelling with family and friends? These cottages sit side-by-side, so you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of your own cottage, with the option to simply wander next door to catch up with the rest of the group. It's great for sharing après ski drinks, or planning tomorrow's routes on the fells, whilst still having your own cosy space to retreat to at the end of the evening.

Location

The Levi Cottages have a convenient location just a short walk to the resort centre where you can find plenty of bars, restaurants and souvenir shops, plus the well-stocked supermarket. If you are heading to the slopes, there is a ski bus (payable locally) which runs regularly between the ski area and the main accommodation areas, so you can make the most of the snowy fells and wonderful landscape.

The village centre is around 150 metres from the cabins

Oy Levi Ski Resort is around 600 metres away

Food & Drinks

The Levi Cottages are self-catered cabins - you can cook tasty meals from the comfort of your own kitchen. Or head out for dinner and sample some of the lovely restaurants Levi has to offer.

Alternatively, why not upgrade to half board at one of the nearby hotels? Each day, you can head over and make the most of the extensive breakfast buffet, which has a range of hot and cold options. For dinner, you can enjoy a three-course buffet-style dinner.

The wide, gentle runs at South Point provide the perfect setting for building confidence and are easily accessed via a short bus ride from Levi Centre. This area is also home to Leevilandia, a dedicated learning and family zone designed to make first experiences on snow both fun and stress‑free.

For the 2026/27 season, the brand‑new Sunny Express chairlift is currently under construction. This modern lift will provide faster, more comfortable access to the upper sections off the South Point slopes.

Intermediate skiers will appreciate the direct slope access to the Front Slopes at Zero Point. Take the Glacier Express chairlift and enjoy the stunning arctic views as you carve down the fells. Levi benefits from reliable snow conditions throughout the season, thanks to consistent natural snowfall and cold temperatures, ensuring excellent coverage and ideal conditions for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities.

Beyond the slopes, you can explore over 200km of cross-country ski trails, enjoy snowshoeing through peaceful forests, or experience the magic of husky safaris and reindeer sleigh rides.

Levi's ski area is regarded as the best and most extensive in Finland and offers snow-sure, uncrowded skiing in an area of exceptional natural beauty. As the season starts in December and the polar nights approach, skiing takes place on the floodlit slopes. The whole ski area opens in mid February (approx. 17th) when the daylight hours start to increase and incredible skiing can be enjoyed throughout the day.

8km Husky Safari - Levi

Feel the excitement as you set off on a thrilling husky sled safari through the pristine, snow-covered wilderness. After learning the basics of driving your very own sleigh, you’ll be guided by a lively team of eager huskies through a sparkling winter wonderland.

Glide past snow-laden trees and across vast, glittering tundras, with every turn revealing a postcard-perfect Christmas scene straight from a storybook. Once your enchanting journey comes to an end, cozy up by an open fire with a warm cup of berry juice and listen to heartwarming tales about the incredible huskies who made this magical ride possible.

Duration: 1.5 hours at farm

This is a self‑driven husky safari. Each husky team is usually shared by two adults or one adult and two children: one adult will drive the sleigh, and the other(s) will ride as a passenger
Guests must be at least 18 years old and in good physical condition to drive the sled. It is not possible to arrange for a guide to drive the sled.
This excursion is available for children aged 4–12 years. All children will travel in a guide‑driven sled.
Children aged 3 years may participate only in the shorter 2 km husky safari. Infants under 2 years are not permitted on this activity.
Single riders who have booked a sharing husky‑sled option may be required to upgrade locally to a single‑driver sled if no sharing sleds are available.

Snowshoe Safari - Levi

A quintessential part of your Lapland visit is to experience is a reindeer sleigh ride. Visit an authentic reindeer farm and learn all about the reindeer.
