About Break Sokos Hotel

Situated in the centre of Levi, the modern Break Sokos Hotel is the perfect spot for days spent on the slopes. The comfortable rooms and unique interiors create a warm retreat after a day of winter adventures, with each space styled in a contemporary way and inspired by the seasons. You’ll find touches of Lapland throughout, from animal artwork to nature-themed fabrics and photography.

The property’s three buildings (Suvi, Loimu and Kide) sit side by side, giving you convenient access to Levi centre. The ski school, equipment hire and the nearest lift are just a three minute walk away, while the shops, bars and restaurants are just outside the hotel. After a morning of arctic adventures or a late run back into Levi, the popular Coffee House in reception is ideal for a warming break. When it comes to dinner you can enjoy a three-course buffet-style meal at the Restaurant Kiisa.

The Break Sokos Hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of the charming resort of Levi, making it the ideal base for your winter adventure. You have quick access to the ski slopes, the resort's cross-country ski trails, as well as the various restaurants, cafes, and shops dotted around.

The hotel is offered on a half-board basis with breakfast and dinner included with your stay. Breakfast is available in Restaurant Kiisa from 6am-10am Monday-Friday and 7am-11am and is buffet-style. Dinner includes a three-course buffet-style meal at the Restaurant Kiisa. 

Guests staying over Christmas (24th & 25th December) and New Year (31st December) will enjoy a festive menu and includes an aperitif and two glasses of wine or soft drinks for children.

There is an onsite Coffee House and Bar (pay locally) located by the hotel's reception. Coffee House has its own espresso and filter coffee, which is sustainably produced, as well as homemade cakes and lunches. It is also open for cocktails and drinks in the evening. 

Grill It! Levi is part of the Break Sokos Hotel, and specialises in meats and vegetables cooked over a charcoal grill. You can even enjoy your meal on the terrace as there are heated glass cabins to keep you warm (payable locally).

The wide, gentle runs at South Point provide the perfect setting for building confidence and are easily accessed via a short bus ride from Levi Centre. This area is also home to Leevilandia, a dedicated learning and family zone designed to make first experiences on snow both fun and stress‑free.

For the 2026/27 season, the brand‑new Sunny Express chairlift is currently under construction. This modern lift will provide faster, more comfortable access to the upper sections off the South Point slopes.

Intermediate skiers will appreciate the direct slope access to the Front Slopes at Zero Point. Take the Glacier Express chairlift and enjoy the stunning arctic views as you carve down the fells. Levi benefits from reliable snow conditions throughout the season, thanks to consistent natural snowfall and cold temperatures, ensuring excellent coverage and ideal conditions for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities.

Levi's ski area is regarded as the best and most extensive in Finland and offers snow-sure, uncrowded skiing in an area of exceptional natural beauty. As the season starts in December and the polar nights approach, skiing takes place on the floodlit slopes. The whole ski area opens in mid February (approx. 17th) when the daylight hours start to increase and incredible skiing can be enjoyed throughout the day.

Feel the excitement as you set off on a thrilling husky sled safari through the pristine, snow-covered wilderness. After learning the basics of driving your very own sleigh, you’ll be guided by a lively team of eager huskies through a sparkling winter wonderland.

Glide past snow-laden trees and across vast, glittering tundras, with every turn revealing a postcard-perfect Christmas scene straight from a storybook. Once your enchanting journey comes to an end, cozy up by an open fire with a warm cup of berry juice and listen to heartwarming tales about the incredible huskies who made this magical ride possible.

Duration: 1.5 hours at farm

  • This is a self‑driven husky safari. Each husky team is usually shared by two adults or one adult and two children: one adult will drive the sleigh, and the other(s) will ride as a passenger
  • Guests must be at least 18 years old and in good physical condition to drive the sled. It is not possible to arrange for a guide to drive the sled.
  • This excursion is available for children aged 4–12 years. All children will travel in a guide‑driven sled.
  • Children aged 3 years may participate only in the shorter 2 km husky safari. Infants under 2 years are not permitted on this activity.
  • Single riders who have booked a sharing husky‑sled option may be required to upgrade locally to a single‑driver sled if no sharing sleds are available.

A quintessential part of your Lapland visit is to experience is a reindeer sleigh ride. Visit an authentic reindeer farm and learn all about the reindeer. You will then be taken on a serene sleigh ride through snowy forests, guided by a Sami guide and their reindeer. The visit includes a farm visit where you can learn about the reindeer.
