Beginner skiing and snowboarding in Pyhä
If you're just starting out, you'll love how Pyhä looks after you. Most of the fell is designed specifically for new skiers, so you'll have plenty of wide, gentle slopes to find your ski legs at your own pace. Start your ski journey in the Family Adventure Area - it's a dedicated space with easy-access lifts made for building confidence. As you find your rhythm, you'll move onto the gentle blue runs nearby. Expert instructors are always on hand, too, ready to help you level up your skills in no time.
Intermediate skiing and snowboarding in Pyhä
Expect wide, open blue runs and plenty of space to yourself - the ideal stage for perfecting your turns. When you're ready to dial it up, take on the handful of red runs or test your edge control on the two steeper black runs. But the real showstopper? The scenery. As you cruise down the fell, you're treated to staggering Arctic views that make every run feel like a scene from a movie.
Advanced skiing and snowboarding in Pyhä
Ready for a challenge? Pyhä delivers. Put your skills to the test on the legendary Piste Palander - it's a former World Cup run and a serious badge of honour. For a rawer challenge, head to Huttu-ukko, the only ungroomed slope in the area - the terrain is steep and the powder stays deep. And when the lifts aren't enough, the backcountry here is massive. It's a true playground for anyone looking to leave the piste behind and drop into the untouched wilderness.
Cross-country skiing in Pyhä
With over 150km of groomed trails spanning Pyhä and Luosto, you’ve got a massive Arctic playground to explore. If you're just finding your rhythm, start with the lovely easy loops around the village. Along the way, you’ll spot a handful of cosy cafes that are perfect for hot chocolate pit-stops - Ski Cage Suonmukka is a personal favourite of ours. Feeling ambitious? Take on the 35km trek over to Luosto. It’s a spectacular challenge and the best part is you can just hop on the SkiBus for a relaxed ride back.
Lift pass information
Your 6-day lift pass is included as part of your stay at the Ski-Inn Apartments and the Hotel Pyhätunturi. This pass gives you full access to all lifts in the Pyhä ski area for the duration of your stay.

Discover Pyhä
Cruisy slopes, shorter queues and unbeatable views - Pyhä is Finland's best-kept secret. Known for its rugged, untouched terrain, it's all about the 'quiet' thrill of the North. Surrounded by Pyhä-Luosto National park, your days are spent carving pristine pistes under the glow of pastel polar skies. As the lifts close, the adventure doesn't stop - the clear, dark skies here make it one of the best spots for chasing the Northern Lights.
The compact ski area is fantastic if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of mainstream ski resorts. Whether you’re a first-timer finding your feet or you simply prefer a slower, more soulful pace on the snow, you’ll feel right at home here. But the magic of Pyhä extends far beyond the pisted fells. Step into the silence of the National Park on snowshoes, dig for your own sparkling gems in the amethyst mine (which is over two million years old!) or embrace the traditional Finnish lifestyle with husky sledding and reindeer sleigh rides.
Right by Ski-Inn Hotel Pyhätunturi, you’ll have plenty of ways to refuel and relax after your day on the slopes. Start your morning with a hearty breakfast at the hotel’s own Camp Kitchen & Bar, or head back there for a cosy dinner to warm up from the winter chill.
Fancy exploring? You're just a short stroll away from Huttuhippu, where you can tuck into fresh, locally inspired dishes (with great vegan options, too), while the Colorado Bar & Grill is your go-to spot for a more casual, relaxed meal.
While Pyhä is famous for its quiet, laid-back atmosphere, you’ll still find plenty of inviting spots to celebrate your day on the fell. This isn't the place for thumping bass and crowded dancefloors. Instead, you’ll discover a more intimate, local après-ski scene that perfectly matches the resort's chilled-out charm.
You can head to Hanki Baari Pyhä for a lively tipple and a bit of local buzz, or if you prefer a more sophisticated end to your afternoon, find a cosy corner at Pyhä Dreams Wine Bar for a glass of something special. Whether you’re looking for a quick beer by the slopes or a quiet evening of conversation, you’ll find the right spot to unwind. And because most venues open their doors from early December, you're guaranteed a warm welcome and a celebratory drink, even if you’re joining us for the very first snow of the season.
You'll find everything you need for a stress-free stay just a short stroll away. Whether you're planning a cosy night in or just need to grab the essentials, the local supermarket down the hill in the resort centre makes it easy to stock up on groceries and local treats to enjoy in your apartment.
When you're not on the slopes, you can browse the charming local gift shops - the perfect place for you to pick up a unique memento and take a little slice of Lapland magic home with you.
For those quick moments when you just need a snack, a cold drink or an everyday item without leaving the warmth, you can simply pop into the convenient kiosk right inside the Hotel Pyhätunturi. You’re never more than a few minutes away from whatever you might need, so you can spend less time running errands and more time on the slopes.
In Pyhä, adventure and relaxation go hand in hand. You’ll find wonderful communal spa facilities waiting for you at the Hotel Pyhätunturi, but for a real treat, many of the apartments and suites come with the luxury of your own private sauna.
If you're looking for something truly special, a handful of the apartments even feature hot tubs right on the balcony - there's nothing quite like soaking in the warmth under the starlit sky after a day on the slopes.
