Discover Pyhä
Renowned for its stunning terrain, Pyhä offers a true escape into Finnish wilderness. The small resort is surrounded by the beautiful Pyhä-Lusto National Park, where you can enjoy the pastel skies of the polar nights, arctic adventures on and off the slopes, and if you are lucky, you may even spot the Northern Lights. With a handful of accommodation options, a selection of excursions and a ski area well suited to beginners, it is a great option for families looking for their next Lapland Adventure.
Right by Ski-Inn Hotel Pyhätunturi, you’ll find plenty of options to refuel and relax after a day on the slopes. The hotel’s own Camp Kitchen & Bar serves hearty breakfasts and cosy dinners, perfect for warming up in the winter chill. Just a short stroll away, Huttuhippu offers fresh, locally inspired dishes, including vegan options, while Colorado Bar & Grill is a great casual spot for a relaxed meal. For après-ski drinks, Hanki Baari Pyhä is ideal for a lively tipple, and Pyhä Dreams Wine Bar is perfect for a quieter evening with a glass of something special. Most venues open from December, so even early-season skiers can enjoy a convenient bite or drink close to the slopes.
Levi is Finland’s leading resort for après ski, with most venues opening from December and building up through the winter season. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, with a mix of slope-side spots, karaoke bars and late-night venues.
Slope Restaurant Tuikku, at the top of Levi, is a popular afternoon stop. From 1–5pm you’ll find live performers, karaoke and small competitions, with plenty of space on the large terrace when the weather is clear.
Back at the base, Vinkkari draws the après crowd from 4pm, especially later in the season when DJs take over the terrace. Music leans towards Finnish pop classics, and table-dancing is something of a tradition.
In the evenings, karaoke is a real favourite in Levi. Bar Ihku is well known for its sing-along sessions, alongside DJs and live music, while Pub Hölmölä provides a quieter alternative. For larger events, Levi Areena hosts touring performers during peak months, and Crazy Reindeer stays open late for those in the mood to dance.
Many hotels and chalets also include saunas, giving you the option to swap the bar for a more traditional Finnish way to unwind after skiing.
In Pyhä, you’ll find a selection of handy shops and services within easy walking distance. The nearest supermarket is located right in the resort centre, just down the hill, making it simple to stock up on groceries and essentials during your stay. For quick snacks, drinks, or everyday items, there’s also a convenient kiosk inside the Pyhätunturi Hotel.
Pyhä is all about combining adventure with relaxation. After a day on the slopes or exploring the fells, you can unwind in the saunas and spa facilities found in the Ski-Inn apartments and Pyhätunturi Hotel. Traditional Finnish saunas are a highlight, offering the perfect way to soothe tired muscles and experience an authentic part of Finnish culture. Many accommodations also feature private saunas, so you can enjoy peaceful relaxation in the comfort of your own space, with some apartments offering stunning views of the snowy landscape right from your window.
