Après in St. Anton: Best bars and late-night spots
Where to spend your evening in St Anton?
St. Anton isn’t just known for great skiing in the alps - it’s also the hot-spot for authentic Austrian après. Think big beers, sing-alongs, DJs on the terrace and late-night dancing.
St. Anton mixes legendary mountain-terrace après with true town nightlife. Whether you want a boisterous piste-side singalong, a relaxed DJ-led session with good food, or a full late-night club crawl - you’ll find it here.
What to expect?
St. Anton’s mountain bars tend to be busiest mid-afternoon into early evening; though many mountain après spots close around 8pm. The town’s bars and clubs keep going later into the night with live music venues and nightclubs in town often pushing on well into the night.
- Ski-in ski-out convenience: Pick piste-side bars to stop for a drink on your way home back down the mountain.
- Cash vs card: Most places accept cards but carrying a little cash is sensible for small purchases or busy times.
- Dress code: Ski gear is absolutely fine for mountain terraces. For town clubs or late-night bars, smart casual is the better option.
- Peak times: Christmas, New Year and February half-term are the busiest, so do expect other people on those sun terraces.

The best bars and clubs in St Anton
MooserWirt - the classic, carnival-style piste party
If you’ve seen photos of St. Anton in full swing, they were probably taken at MooserWirt. Perched right on the piste, it turns into a huge, sun-soaked dance floor every afternoon - think live music, shouted choruses and a buzzy terrace scene from around mid-afternoon into early evening. It’s perfect if you want the full, high-octane après experience and easy ski-in/ski-out access. Arrive early if you want a spot on the terrace; during peak weeks it fills fast.
Krazy Kanguruh - the original party terrace (and what’s changed)
Krazy Kanguruh is famed as St. Anton’s original après bar - long a go-to for daytime parties and DJ sets with tables on terraces overlooking the slopes. When open it’s a reliably lively stop for ski-boots-on partying and hearty food.
There has been changes to the venue in recent seasons, so best to check opening times before you go.
Taps - piste-side with a DJ, good for a later wind-down
Taps has a strong après reputation: good food, a large terrace and DJs from late afternoon. It’s a little less manic than MooserWirt but still lively - ideal if you want a mix of decent food and dancing without the chaos of a nightclub vibe.
Piccadilly & Piccadilly Club - live music & town-centre late nights
If you want to keep the night going after the big mountain terraces close, head into town. Piccadilly and its live-music bar are classic town options: live bands, a big crowd and a real pub atmosphere to start off a longer night out. It’s a good place for friends who want to swap ski jackets for bar vibes and then move on to the club.

Inghams top tips:
- Piccadilly is a good “first port of call” in town - check the evening line-up if you’re after live music.
- Taps does food well - come hungry and hang on for the DJ set.
- Krazy’s vibe leans toward party-first; it’s a great place to kick off celebrations before heading into town for late night.
- Finish your last run via the blue runs that drop close to Mooserweg so you can slide straight into the action.
