Our Husky rides are great fun for all the family and are definitely worth participating in whilst you enjoy this once in a lifetime holiday experience. The huskies are always animated and ready to go. As soon as they are harnessed to their sleds, the sound of excited barking fills the air. The huskies are in their element as the sled glides across the pristine snow.

Embark on a truly magical Arctic adventure with an evening husky safari through Levi’s snowy wilderness. Sit back and relax in a cosy sled as a skilled guide leads a team of enthusiastic huskies along a scenic 10km trail under the starlit sky. With a bit of luck, the Northern Lights may appear overhead, casting their spell across the night sky — a breathtaking sight you’ll never forget.

Duration: 1.5 hours at farm

  • Please note that this is a guide driven safari. All guests will be seated in the sled.

  • Infants under 2  are not permitted on this excursion.
  • Children ages: 4-12 years
  • Children aged 3 are able to take part in the shorter 2km husky safari.

You'll learn the fundamentals of driving your own husky sled before venturing onto the trail, surrounded by breathtaking Arctic scenery and guided by a team of huskies. As you glide across the snowy landscape, admire the spectacular views of snow-covered trees and vast tundras, with each bend revealing a picture-perfect sight. After the safari, warm up with hot berry juice by an open fire, while hearing captivating tales about the huskies. 

Please note that guests booked onto this excursion after Christmas will have lunch included on this excursion.

Duration: 2.5 hours (1 hour at Wilderness Centre)

  • This is a self driven excursion. Guests must be 18+ and in good physical fitness to drive the husky sled. 
  • Children must be over the age of 3 to take part in this excursion. Infants 0-2 years are not permitted.

For this safari, you will drive the sleigh. 

Duration: 1.5 hours at farm

  • This is a self driven husky safari. Guests must be at least 18 years old and in good physical condition to drive the sled. It is not possible to arrange a guide to drive the sled. 

  • This excursion is available for children ages 4-12 years. Children aged 3 may participate in the shorter 2 km husky safari. Infants under 2 are not permitted.

You will go on a husky ride with professional musher who will guide the sleigh with a team of eager dogs – you’ll be seated in the sleigh as you rush past stunning arctic landscape, whether its glistening snow covered forests, expansive tundras as far as the eye can see or over frozen lakes, this is an adventure not to be missed.

Duration: 1 hour at farm

Husky Rides

Meet the lively huskies and set off on a thrilling dog sledding adventure through the peaceful, snow-covered forest - one of the most unforgettable ways to explore the Lappish wilderness! Adults (18+) will have the chance to drive their own team of eager huskies, while one or two passengers (aged 12+) can ride comfortably in the sled. Younger children can enjoy the magic from the sled, safely guided by a professional musher.

Keeping in line along the trails, you'll be speeding through the wilderness and weaving through the deep forest in the low winter sun.

For over 20 years, Inghams has worked closely with local tour operators to ensure our guests receive the best value winter excursions in Lapland, including husky, reindeer and horse-riding excursions, a snowmobile safari, ice activities, skiing, meeting Santa Claus, and of course, searching for the Northern Lights.

An exciting excursion to visit Santa is included as part of your Santa Breaks package to Levi. You'll also have the choice to add other activities like snowmobiling, husky sledding and a reindeer sleigh ride to your holiday.
