Situated 200 km above the Arctic Circle, this extraordinary hotel is crafted each winter from over 400,000 kilos of ice and 45,000 cubic meters of snow. Every corner of the village is adorned with breathtaking carvings, from the beautifully designed rooms and courtyards to the mesmerising ice bar, restaurant, and Ice Chapel. • Visits that are booked before the public opening date may not be have a completed Village to see. You will be able to have a more 'behind the scenes' visit and maybe see the artists working. The completion of the Snow Village is weather-dependent.

For the ultimate adventure you can do a 65 kilometre snowmobile safari to the Snow Village. On this half day excursion you'll race through the forests and wetlands by snowmobile before arriving at the magnificent Snow Village, where you can admire the icy works of art and one of Europe's largest snow bars. Warm up with a soup lunch before heading back to Ylläs.  This snowmobile safari is a bit more demanding due to the length and the landscape, so it is especially recommended to people with some earlier experience or good physical condition
