About Hotel Avenue Lodge

Set in the heart of Val d’Isère, the Avenue Lodge is a fantastic hotel in a great location. The hotel features a magnificent spa which you can relax in after a long day of skiing or on days when they simply don't feel like hitting the slopes. Take a refreshing swim in the pool, or visit one of the two saunas or the hammam to ease any aches or pains in your legs. In addition to that, the two jacuzzis are wonderful for unwinding and relaxing in. Massages and other beauty treatments are offered so you can thoroughly unwind in a tranquil setting.

The charming Avenue Lodge has the classic style of the Tarentaise region. The hotel's architecture and interior design were influenced by the work of Jean Philippe Nuel, who creates luxurious spaces across the globe. The colours and the furniture in each area work together to create a sense of harmony and design. The mountain's ever-present presence is brought to life by the use of local materials with warm wood throughout, fur bedspreads and antlers adorning the walls. The spacious rooms offer a pleasantly trendy environment, and the luxurious design of the baths create a space for pure relaxation.

Each morning you can fuel up for the day with the extensive buffet breakfast, including a continental offering with local produce and daily hot option. For a relaxing start to the day, a continental breakfast is also available to have in your room. When you have returned from a day on the Tignes-Val d'Isere slopes, the lounge-bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink with friends or family, each Friday live music can be enjoyed with a cocktail or two. More about Val d'Isere

Things to do in Val d'Isere

Located in the heart of the village, there is an artificial ice skating rink - the Patinoire de Val d'Isere - and is great fun for all the family. It is open all winter 7 days a week, weather dependant of course, and there is a small refreshment chalet located on site for snacks and hot drinks to warm you up.

Val d'Isere has one driving school offering training courses supervised by professionals for ice driving. They have one car and one motorcycle track as well as a ice karting track and driving simulator that replicates the real sensations felt when driving on a real race car track. Ice driving improves you reflexes, helps you respond to risks and sets out to improve your driving in general. If you don't want to drive, you can also experience drifting on the ice at speed as a passenger with a professional race driver who all have national certificates of motor sports.

Val d'Isere is a great place to learn to fly thanks to it's many clubs and organisations in the resort whose sole purpose is to get you up in the air. Flights can be taken with a qualified instructor and it's good to know that no level of fitness is required for this activity, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the spectacular birds-eye views.

Snowmobiles are great fun and a fab way to explore the side of the mountains the ski slopes don't touch. It's up to you to decide whether you want to be a passenger or a driver but either way you'll have opportunities to experience untouched landscapes surrounding Mont Blanc, Bellevarde summit and the Sache - and some great opportunities for photos!

Enjoy this magical outdoor play and relaxation area free of charge. The Village Perdu can be found in the heart of La Daille's forest. This new and sustainable hideaway features overhanging footbridges more than 90 metres high. If you're feeling adventurous you can ski right up to the Village Perdu, before heading off on foot to explore the walkways through the trees.
