About Hotel Avenue Lodge
Forget the traditional Alpine chalet look. Hotel Avenue Lodge takes a more contemporary approach, blending stylish design with cosy mountain touches that make it feel right at home in Val d'Isère. Set on the resort's main street, it's a great base whether you're planning first lifts every morning or simply looking for somewhere comfortable to come back to after a day in the mountains.
The hotel's standout feature is the spa. After a day carving your way around the slopes, swap your ski boots for slippers and head straight for the heated indoor pool, hammam, saunas or one of the two jacuzzis. If your legs are feeling the effects of a full day on the mountain, massages and beauty treatments are available too. There's even a ski shop in the hotel, so hiring equipment couldn't be much easier. Whether you need skis, a snowboard or a bit of expert advice before heading out, you'll find it all under the same roof.
Designed by renowned interior architect Jean-Philippe Nuel, the Avenue Lodge takes inspiration from its surroundings without relying on the usual chalet clichés. Warm wood, natural materials and cosy touches give the interiors plenty of character, while the spacious rooms feel stylish, modern and designed for switching off after a day outdoors.
Mornings start with a generous buffet breakfast featuring local produce, continental favourites and a daily hot option - ideal fuel for a day on the mountain. Prefer a slower start? A continental breakfast can be served in your room, so there's no need to rush anywhere. When the lifts close, the lounge bar becomes the place to swap stories from the slopes over a drink. On Fridays, live music adds to the atmosphere, making it very easy to stay for one more cocktail. Round off the day with traditional French cuisine in the restaurant before doing it all again tomorrow.
