About Front de Neige Apartments

Set right by the La Bergerie chairlift and just a short stroll from the centre of La Plagne Village, the Front de Neige Apartments make getting on and off the mountain wonderfully easy - a ski-in/ski-out location to the blue run Ecartee. They're a great choice for families, couples and groups who want everything close at hand - from ski lifts and ski school meeting points to shops, bars and restaurants.

The apartments are spacious, comfortable and designed with longer ski holidays in mind. Traditional wood-and-stone architecture gives them an authentic Alpine feel, while modern facilities provide all the comforts you need after a day on the slopes. Practical touches like the heated ski locker room help make each ski day run smoothly.

Back at the residence, you can unwind in the heated indoor pool, hot tub and wellness area, or enjoy a relaxed meal in the good-value restaurant. Friendly and helpful reception staff are on hand throughout your stay, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. With its excellent location, generous apartments and easy-going feel, Front de Neige is one of those places that makes a ski holiday feel effortless.

After a day of exploring the expansive Paradiski Ski Area, head to the Balneo Spa for a moment of relaxation. Have a dip in the pool and soothe any aches in the hot tub, or revitalise in the hammam. For a little extra treat, beauty treatments are available for an additional fee.

With a great location in La Plagne Village, these apartments are ideal for keen skiers and snowboarders who want to be able to get first and last lifts each day - with direct access to the slopes of the Paradiski Area. The resort facilities including the shops, restaurants and bus to Plagne Centre are just a short walk away, so you can stock up on the essentials and whip up tasty meals from the comfort of your apartment or enjoy a meal in one of the local restaurants.

The Front de Neige Apartments are self catered apartments.

Each apartment has a kitchenette with a ceramic hob, microwave and dishwasher. If you don't fancy cooking one evening, then there is a handful of restaurants nearby.

We have a range of apartments sleeping two to six people, all furnished in a modern style with an open plan kitchenette and living area. It's a great option for couples or groups of friends and family looking for comfortable accommodation on the snow front. Couples will benefit from staying in a studio, whilst bigger groups can book a two bedroom apartment which sleeps up to six.

Studios are around 22m² sleeping two people. Each apartment has a living area with a double sofa bed, and a shower room with WC.

One bedroom apartments are around 32m². These apartments have one bedroom with double bed or twin beds, living area with double sofa bed, and a bathroom with a separate WC. Most have a balcony or terrace.

Two bedroom superior apartments are around 54m² sleeping up to six people. These apartments are two adjoining apartments, a one bedroom apartment with a studio.

If you fancy something small, or an extra add-on, you'll also find a welcome hamper, additional bundles and wine packages. Travel to La Plagne

Depart on: Saturdays

Arrive into: Geneva or Chambéry airport, or Bourg St. Maurice station

Transfer time: approx. 2 hours 15 mins to 3 hours 15 mins by coach

Travel by air

Fly to Geneva or Chambéry:

  • Transfer time from Geneva airport: approx. 3 hours 30 mins by coach
  • Transfer time from Chambéry airport: approx. 2 hours 30 mins by coach
  • The transfer to La Plagne will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop
  • There is a traffic light system in the Tarantaise Valley controlling traffic and stopping cars and coaches sitting in places where rocks could fall, and to make snow clearing easier when snowing

Please note that transfer times may vary depending on weather conditions and traffic, particularly during peak season and French school holidays (French school holidays span 18 Dec 26 - 03 Jan 27, 06 Feb - 07 Mar 27 and 03 - 25 Apr 27).

Private transfers are available on request.

Travel by train

We also have the Eurostar Snow Train which is bookable for 7 nights to La Plagne, from London St Pancras. Available between 20 December and 28 March 2026.

This is a train that departs and returns Saturdays with a much shorter transfer of 25 minutes from Aime railway station to resort. The return train journey will depart from Bourg St Maurice railway station, this transfer is 35 minutes.

Discover La Plagne

The well designed resort of La Plagne comprises some ten villages, each with its own character and infrastructure and we feature accommodation in the best five. Belle Plagne is the most scenic with easy access to the gondola, whilst Plagne Soleil and Plagne Villages are ideally situated in a sunny bowl and offer easy ski in/ski out accommodation. Plagne Centre provides quick and easy access to the slopes and is the focal point for shops and après ski. One of the best things about La Plagne is how well connected these villages are, allowing you to explore all of the resort during your stay. Not only that but La Plagne also offers opportunities to try other exciting winter activities including husky sleighs, snow shoeing, skidooing and cross country skiing.

Things to do in La Plagne

There aren’t many places in the world where you can experience an Olympic bob-sleigh track but Plagne 1800 is one of the few places where you can. The 1500m long bob-sleigh run complete with 19 thrilling bends is an unusual and memorable experience. You can choose from 4 grades of experience ranging from the 80kmph bob raft to the full-on 130kmph Olympic experience.

Soar above the mountains on an unforgettable paragliding flight over the slopes of La Plagne. Whether you are a seasoned thrill seeker or a complete beginner, expert instructors are on hand to ensure you have a safe flight. 

Launch from high altitude take off points and enjoy panoramic views of the Tarentaise Valley as you fly effortlessly across the French Alps.

 

Snowmobiling is an exciting way to explore the mountainside and the glaciers and wide pistes of La Plagne are perfect for bombing around on a skidoo. There are a number of activities operators in La Plagne offering this experience and our Destination Experts can help you find the most appropriate tour one for you.

When the weather is favourable Le Colorado Park opens its mile-long sled run to the public. This lengthy and exciting toboggan run next to the Colorado ski lift in Plagne Centre provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountainside, including glimpses of Mont Blanc.

The Ciné-Plagne in Plagne Centre, located in the Les Ecrins building, is a popular spot for moviegoers in La Plagne, France. This cinema features two digital screens and offers a variety of films, including the latest releases.

It operates daily from mid-December to late April, providing entertainment for both locals and visitors.

Tickets are reasonably priced, with discounts available for children, students, and seasonal workers.

Bowling in La Plagne offers fun and entertainment at two main locations: Belle Plagne and Plagne Centre.

Both locations provide a lively and enjoyable environment for visitors of all ages.

Ice climbing in La Plagne, located in the French Alps, offers a thrilling experience for climbers of all levels. The highlight is the 24-meter-high ice tower in Champagny-en-Vanoise, which is a key feature of the region's ice climbing scene. 

This tower is designed to accommodate both beginners and elite climbers, providing a safe and structured environment to learn and improve.

La Plagne also hosts the Ice Climbing World Cup, attracting top climbers from around the globe to compete in speed and difficulty events.

The competition is a major event, showcasing the skill and agility of the world's best ice climbers.

 

There are two outdoor ice rinks in La Plagne - one in Plagne Centre and another in Plagne Bellecôte. 

Plagne Centre's ice rink is a popular spot, located right behind the main bus station. It offers lively music and a vibrant atmosphere, making it ideal for kids and parents alike.

Bellecôte's rink is larger and provides more space for skating enthusiasts.

 The region features a variety of well-marked trails suitable for all fitness levels, from families with children to more adventurous hikers.

Popular routes include the Chalets des Bauches, Plateau de Plan Bois, and the Montgésin Trail, each offering breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks.

Speed-riding in La Plagne offers an exhilarating blend of skiing and paragliding, providing a unique winter thrill. This sport involves gliding on skis while flying a small canopy, allowing participants to soar over breathtaking heights and land in untouched snowfields.

La Plagne is a prime location for speed-riding, with courses available for both beginners and advanced riders.

The Speed Riding School in Les Arcs, which also operates in La Plagne, offers comprehensive training and guided sessions to ensure a safe and unforgettable experience.

The Escape Room in Bellecôte, operated by Escape Games United, offers thrilling adventures for groups of friends or families. Located in the Galerie Commerciale Plagne Bellecôte, it features two main rooms: "The Bunker," a post-apocalyptic scenario where players must find refuge and other survivors, and "Hunting the Chuppa Yeti," a fun quest to find a mini mountain yeti.

There’s something really easy-going about winter walking in La Plagne - think wide, groomed paths that wind through snowy forests and open plateaus, with views stretching all the way to Mont Blanc. Over at Plan Bois, you can wander through quiet pine woods and sunny clearings, well away from the busy slopes, with routes that are clearly signposted and suitable for families. Before you set off, it’s worth checking which trails are open on the official La Plagne website, and if you’ve got a four-legged companion in tow, they’re welcome on many of the routes too.
