About Hotel Carlina

Tastefully decorated in a traditional Alpine style, the Hotel Carlina offers a lovely, homely atmosphere right in the heart of Belle Plagne. Maximising your ski miles is effortless here, as the hotel sits directly on the slopes, allowing you to ski straight from breakfast down to Plagne Bellecote before heading up to the wider Paradiski area. With over 400km of slopes, you'll be spoilt for choice, with new terrain to explore throughout the whole week. And for those moments spent off the mountain, you'll be a short walk from all the cafés, bars and restaurants in the village centre. 

Moments of relaxation can be just as important as skiing, and Hotel Carlina provides some fantastic facilities for you to use. Spend the afternoon in the indoor pool, and watch the sun drop behind the peaks from the large floor-to-ceiling windows. Soothe achy ski legs in the sauna and whirlpool. If you feel you need a little extra TLC, treat yourself to a massage or beauty treatment with the in-house beauticians. And just before you head to bed, swap ski stories with a hot chocolate or a glass of wine in the comfortable bar and lounge area. 

Great skiing deserves even better eating, which is why the food at the Carlina is all about high-quality variety and mountain charm. The hotel has two restaurants where you can dine. La Table du Carlina offers refined French cuisine and daily specials made from the finest local ingredients. L’Ercheu is perfect for those nights when only melted cheese will do, serving up the ultimate Savoyard experience with authentic fondue, raclette and tartiflette.

The Hotel Carlina has two restaurants on site, La Table Du Carlina serves French cuisine based on locally sourced products and often has daily specials. La Table Du Carlina is also open for lunch - if you are meeting friends or family for a bite to eat, it is well worth a visit (pay locally). There is also L'Ercheu a traditional Savoyard restaurant serving Savoyard specialities including fondue, raclette and tartiflette. 

  • Fuel up for the day at the continental buffet breakfast, often including fresh pastries, breads, meats, cheese, yoghurts, as well as additional hot options.
  • Evening meals can be taken in La Table Du Carlina, which serves French cuisine based on locally sourced products. You will have a choice of starters, main course and dessert.
  • If you want to sample traditional Savoyard specialities, L'Ercheu is the place to be, serving delicious fondue, raclette and tartiflette.

  • The transfer to La Plagne will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases, there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop
  • There is a traffic light system in the Tarantaise Valley controlling traffic and stopping cars and coaches sitting in places where rocks could fall, and to make snow clearing easier when snowing

Please note that transfer times may vary depending on weather conditions and traffic, particularly during peak season and French school holidays (French school holidays span 20 Dec 25 - 05 Jan 26, 07 Feb - 10 Mar 26 and 04 - 25 Apr 26). Private transfers are available on request.

Travel by train

We also have the Eurostar Snow Train which is bookable for 7 nights to La Plagne, from London St Pancras. Available between 20 December and 28 March 2026.

This is a train that departs and returns Saturdays with a much shorter transfer of 25 minutes from Aime railway station to resort. The return train journey will depart from Bourg St Maurice railway station, this transfer is 35 minutes.

The well designed resort of La Plagne comprises some ten villages, each with its own character and infrastructure and we feature accommodation in the best five. Belle Plagne is the most scenic with easy access to the gondola, whilst Plagne Soleil and Plagne Villages are ideally situated in a sunny bowl and offer easy ski in/ski out accommodation. There aren’t many places in the world where you can experience an Olympic bob-sleigh track but Plagne 1800 is one of the few places where you can. The 1500m long bob-sleigh run complete with 19 thrilling bends is an unusual and memorable experience. You can choose from 4 grades of experience ranging from the 80kmph bob raft to the full-on 130kmph Olympic experience.

Soar above the mountains on an unforgettable paragliding flight over the slopes of La Plagne. Whether you are a seasoned thrill seeker or a complete beginner, expert instructors are on hand to ensure you have a safe flight. 

Launch from high altitude take off points and enjoy panoramic views of the Tarentaise Valley as you fly effortlessly across the French Alps.

 

Snowmobiling is an exciting way to explore the mountainside and the glaciers and wide pistes of La Plagne are perfect for bombing around on a skidoo. When the weather is favourable Le Colorado Park opens its mile-long sled run to the public. This lengthy and exciting toboggan run next to the Colorado ski lift in Plagne Centre provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountainside, including glimpses of Mont Blanc.

The Ciné-Plagne in Plagne Centre, located in the Les Ecrins building, is a popular spot for moviegoers in La Plagne, France. This cinema features two digital screens and offers a variety of films, including the latest releases.

It operates daily from mid-December to late April, providing entertainment for both locals and visitors.
