Altezza Hotel and Spa, formally known as Hotel Mercure, provides comfortable and contemporary accommodation in Les Arcs. This modern hotel sits looking over the Tarentaise Valley and the peaks of the Mont Blanc Massif. With a central location in Les Arcs, you have access to the wonderful Paradiski slopes and vibrant resort centre. 

Unwind and relax

After a long day on the slopes you can relax in the hotel's spa and wellness facilities. Take a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool, or give your ski legs a break in the whirlpool, steam room or sauna. If a day of skiing hasn't worn you out, there is also a fitness room with a range of equipment.

Great Location

Located only 50 metres from the slopes, you have quick and easy access onto the mountains. Beginner skiers would benefit starting from the centre of resort which is 5 minutes' walk or alternatively can catch the ski bus. During the school holidays, a shuttle bus is available for children having group ski lessons. Les Arcs has varied terrain, so it is suitable for all levels of skiers and boarders.

Les Arcs is a purpose built resort so you can find everything you need for a great week skiing. Many of the properties we offer have convenient access to the renowned Paradiski ski area, so you get out and explore the 200km of slopes without any hassle. Les Arcs is made up of four resorts of varying altitude, all self contained with their own restaurants, bars and activities. 

Choose between three villages; Arc 1800 has an activity area comprising of aquatic centre, toboggan runs, fun trail, beginner's area and children's practice area, adding to its popularity with families and beginners. Arc 1950 is a pretty car free village with excellent restaurants, bars, shops and a spa, plus good access to the slopes. Intermediate and advanced skiers are attracted to Arc 2000 with its proximity to the Aiguille Rouge Glacier and fantastic doorstep skiing. 

The Les Arcs-Vallandry Ski Area is Europe's first B-Corp-accredited ski resort. B-Corp evaluates a company's impact on the planet and people, and it is given to companies which meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and responsibility. The goal is to transform the global economy to benefit all individuals, communities, and the environment. Les Arcs has done a number of things to achieve this accreditation including using more sustainable fuel in snow groomers and providing a car-free resort, all visitors who arrive by rail will have free access to the funicular. With a new purchasing policy for the resort, almost 90% of its purchases are in the local Rhône--Alpes region. There has also been a focus on regreening the mountain area by planting trees and restoring wetland areas. 

Skiing and snowboarding in Les Arcs

Les Arcs is part of the Paradiski Ski Area, offering 200km of slopes across the local Les Arcs. There  are plenty of areas for beginners to practise turns and techniques, intermediates and advanced skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the abundance of well groomed slopes of varying levels, and with the impressive Vanoise Express cable car provides easy access to a further 225km of pistes in neighbouring La Plagne.

Bars and restaurants in Les Arcs

Each of the different resorts in Les Arcs have their own charm but all have a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. The après scene is vibrant and lively, with live music and DJ sets often found in the bars both on and off the mountain.

Food lovers will enjoy the many authentic restaurants serving delicious Savoyard dishes such as fondue and tartiflette. You can also find a variety of restaurants serving fine French food, tex-mex and pizza.

Meals

The Altezza Hotel and Spa is on a half board basis. 

Fuel up for a day on the slopes at the varied breakfast buffet which includes a classic continental offering of breads and pastries, dairy products and regional charcuterie, fresh fruit and hot options including omelettes and crepes made to order.

Dinner is a three course buffet each evening with a wide variety of starters, hot dishes and desserts. Show cooking will also allow you to enjoy a dish made on the spot in front of you often including meats and fish.  On low season dinners can be a la carte. During high season there are two seatings for dinner (times confirmed locally).

Savoyard specialities (raclette, fondue, pierrade (bbq meats)) are available upon reservation the day before dinner (additional fees apply).

The hotel has a lovely bar with a range of drinks, plus a range of sweet treats and crepes are available, and can be paid for locally.
