At 2300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe, contributing 93 miles of its own slopes to the vast Three Valleys system which it shares with Courchevel, Méribel, and Les Menuires – a total of 373 miles. With slopes as high as 3230m (10,600ft), the area has an excellent snow record which supports skiing right through until May. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre where car access is restricted, so it's lovely just to to wander around.
Skiing in Val Thorens is at such an altitude it means long hours of sunshine, an unrivalled snow record and great skiing for all grades. Val Thorens ski holidays come complete with relaxed nightlife with a good choice of restaurants, bars and clubs. There is also a superb sports centre in the village with tennis and squash, an indoor pool, sauna and Jacuzzi. All set in some of the most breathtakingly bright snow and soaring peaks.
