The traditional and newly refurbished Hotel Claudia is situated in a quiet location on the edge of Ellmau village with views of the Chapel of Our Lady. This lovely hotel is owned by the Hochfilzer family and just a few minutes’ walk from the main Hotel Hochfilzer where you’ll enjoy and receive the same highly rated evening meals and service the Hochfilzer family prides itself on.

Expect hearty Austrian cuisine and spend your mornings enjoying the views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. The highlights of this small and cosy hotel are the peaceful surrounding gardens complemented with a swimming pond, a big wooden terrace and a lawn perfect for sunbathing.

All bedrooms are comfortable with homely pine furnishings, ground floor rooms have terrace or balcony on the upper floors.

Transfer time: approx. 1 hour 30 mins from Innsbruck airport or 1 hour 45 mins from Salzburg airport.

Lower Ground Double Rooms are around 15m² and have a shower and terrace. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, TV, safe, telephone and hairdryer

Kleine Kaiser Double Rooms are around 15-18m² and have a bath or shower and balcony.

Grosse Kaiser Double Rooms are around 18-20m² and have a bath or shower and balcony. These rooms can sleep a third person on a single sofa bed.

5 min to the village centre on the flat, set in a very peaceful location. No lift in the pension. Room 1 is situated on the ground floor - no steps and great if occasional need for wheel chair but bathrooms not suitable for those confined to wheel chair.

Ellmau

Ellmau is a pretty village located between the rolling green slopes of the Kitzbüheler Alps and the craggy Wilder Kaiser (Wild Emperor) mountains. With a strong farming history, it is still full of local character and tradition. Close to Ellmau, Scheffau enjoys panoramic views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. Set mid-way between Innsbruck and Salzburg, Ellmau is an ideal starting point for many excursions and evening entertainment includes a weekly street market and brass band concert. The area is particularly well suited to families, with attractions such as Elmi's huge adventure park, "Kaiserbad" swimming pool in Ellmau and "Hexenwasser" a fascinating Austria's longest barefoot path in neighbouring Söll.

The Wilder Kaiser region is part of the world's largest e-bike region "Kitzbühel Alps and Kaiser mountains". 

275 electrical bicycles and 75 rental or battery charge stations are available to the e cyclists.
Bicycle track route is planned away from the main traffic and leads via Kufstein to the Wildschönau and the Hohe Salve, across the Brixental valley, Kitzbühel, St. Johann in Tyrol, to the Kaiserwinkl, Wilder Kaiser and through the Pillerseetal valley.

Any age or skill level rider will discover great fun, diversity and challenge . There are more than 350 km cycling and mountain bike tracks in the area catering for all different abilities. 

Festivals & Events
Ellmau hosts a variety of events each week including the ‘Summer Nights’ Festival with arts & crafts, food stalls and live music, brass band concerts at the music pavilion plus various festivals & events throughout the summer.

Ellmi’s World of Magic

Hartkaiser Mountain has  4,000 square meter magic mountain playground featuring a carving hut, climbing structures, a maze, water features and a magical rain forest where kids can climb, explore, splash and play to their heart’s content. Nature walks, Botanical Gardens and the Alpine Trail  will keep children entertained, with plenty of educational signs about local fauna and flora. There is Bergkaiser Panorama Restaurant terrace to admire the incredible vistas of the mountains and enjoy the lunch. Your little explorer is sure to have a blast in this mountainous, magical land of activities.

The Kaiserbad Ellmau

Water area with luxurious indoor pool and a flow channel out into the outdoor pool, plus its own organic pond. Outdoor area has a superb water play area where children can play with water cannons and water mushroom fountain and a slide providing  non-stop swimming fun. 
Those who want to get more activity can put the tennis hall to good use, go for a game of squash or head to the climbing wall.

Journey via the romantic village of Reit im Winkl to the Chiemsee, known as the “Bavarian Sea”. The Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria. The biggest of several islands on the lake and accessible only by boat is Herrenchiemsee. The name derives from a sumptuous and wildly extravagant palace built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. A magnificent drive along a famous Alpine road leading right into the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park up to the highest mountain in Austria at 3,073m, for breathtaking glacier views and a chance to see wild marmots at close range. One of our most popular excursions for nature lovers, we enjoy lunch on top of the mountain.
