The family run La Clef des Champs is positioned in a fabulous location just 300 metres from Morzine centre. It has been in the same family for three generations and has a welcoming feel. The hotel has been newly renovated with some beautiful rooms with village and mountain views.

The outdoor pool is the perfect place to relax in the sunshine. Alternatively, unwind in the hotel's spa - there's a large whirlpool and steam room. It's possible to book a relaxing massage too (payable locally).

The comfortable bar and lounge provide a relaxed, cosy atmosphere and the restaurant serves delicious four course evening meals, with a choice for the starter.

Morzinette Shower bedrooms sleep 2 people (16m²) with village views (facing East or North) and shower. Also available for sole occupancy (please call to book).

Morzinette Bath bedrooms sleep 2 people (16-19m²), have a bath with shower head attachment and a North or South-facing balcony with village views.

Junior Avoriaz Bedrooms sleep 2-3 people (21m²), have shower and East facing balcony with village views. The sofa turns in to a third bed and some rooms have bunk beds for two children up to 16 years old (please call to book this configuration)

Junior Pointe de Nyon bedrooms sleep 2-3 people (21m²) with shower room and South-facing balcony with village views. The sofa is converted into a bed for the third person.

Morzine

Nestling in a beautiful, forested valley, the stunningly pretty little town of Morzine has a quite unique charm with its traditional chalet-style architecture and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Morzine's breathtaking setting of towering mountain peaks, pine forests and serene lakes combines with the excellent range of activities available (many of which are included on the excellent Multipass card - see below) to make Morzine an ideal base for a memorable alpine holiday.

From endless footpaths and trails for excellent walking or mountain biking opportunities to rafting, horse riding and climbing, Morzine and neighbouring Avoriaz offers something for everyone. The picturesque town centre has a wide range of good value, quality shops, restaurants, cafés and bars as well as a cinema.

Morzine is also an excellent choice for families with an array of activities on offer. Spend an afternoon at the water park, try summer tobogganing, visit the local cheese dairy or just relax and enjoy the amazing scenery.

Things to Do

Morzine for walkers

There are plenty of marked footpaths for all levels of walkers in the Morzine area so you can enjoy the stunning mountains around. The trails are all well signposted and link the different lifts that are open. Look out for whistling marmots and follow a number of popular paths leading to Switzerland, used by the French Resistance in the Second World War. Click on the 'Walking' tab below for more details.

Explore and spend time together as a family

This is a great family destination and the free resort card is excellent value allowing a range of activities that families can enjoy together using the chairlifts, cable cars, swimming pool, the tourist train, ice rink and tennis courts.

Try a new adventure

If you are looking for an Alpine adventure and want to try something different then look no further than Morzine. The Tour de France is often in the area and cycle hire is easily available locally. Go paragliding for panoramic views, plunge into deep pools canyoning or go rock climbing or white water rafting. These activities are all supervised and led by qualified instructors.

Resort Card - Free to all guests

The free 'Morzine Multipass Resort Card' is provided by your hotel upon arrival and entitles all guests staying in Morzine to:

  • Free use of all chairlifts and cable-cars for pedestrians (local bus service from mid-June, full operation from 9 July until beginning of Sept)

Excursions

Annecy €54, full day, Friday 
Discover the canals and beautiful historical buildings to see why it is called the ‘Venice of the Alps’. Take a boat trip on the beautiful lake, browse the colourful market set at the foot of the magical chateau and explore the narrow streets and walkways.

Chamonix €54, full day, Tuesday 
A wonderful town with stunning vistas of Mont Blanc and its dramatic glaciers. Take a trip to the famous Aiguille du Midi or the Mer de Glace (payable locally).

Sixt Fer à Cheval €40, full day, Thursday
An hour drive over the Col de Joux Plane takes you to Sixt Fer à Cheval, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Enjoy a 3 1/2 hour walk through the nature reserve, featuring cascading waterfalls and flora and fauna in abundance. 
Optional extra to visit the Jaysinia Botanical Gardens in Samoëns.
