Fantastic for all weathers, children will have a blast and a day full of adventure. They can bounce on the giant air cushion, paddle in the water playgrounds and get into character inside the themed buildings. Or, if they are brave enough, they can face the giant tube slide, spiralling down from 14 metres high.
About Hotel Hollweger
The elegant, family-run Hotel Hollweger brings traditional Austrian hospitality and a warm, welcoming feel to the shores of Wolfgangsee. Set in beautifully kept gardens, you can look out over the clear blue lake before heading into St Gilgen or down to the water.
Guest rooms are in either the traditional main building or the connected annexe, where they’re bright, spacious and have a modern feel. There’s also an indoor pool and spa in a separate annexe, with views across St Gilgen, the Schafberg, Wolfgangsee and the Zwölferhorn. Not a bad view while you’re having a swim.
When you’re ready to explore, you’ve got plenty of options. Walk or cycle around the lake, go sailing, take a dip in Wolfgangsee or hop on a boat to St Wolfgang and Strobl. The ferry is close by, and you can also take the Zwölferhorn cable car or ride the nearby Schafberg steam railway for some brilliant mountain views.
And don’t miss the hotel’s private lakeside lido, around a 15-minute walk away. It’s exclusively for hotel guests, with direct access to the lake, sun loungers, parasols and a lakeside sauna. There are changing facilities and toilets too, plus a rowing boat you can take out on the water. It’s the perfect spot for a swim, a snooze and forgetting what time it is.
