About Grand Hotel Menaggio

Grand Hotel Menaggio has the best location in town. It’s right on the lakefront and you can’t help but notice the hotel from the water – its old-world charm really stands out.

The centre of Menaggio is only 300 metres away so you can easily explore the shops and bars or jump on a ferry and head out for the day. It’s a great base as ferries from here stop all around the lake.

The outside areas here are lovely. The gardens are beautifully maintained. The pool’s a nice spot to kick back and relax. You get views of the lake from here and you can see all the way to Bellagio. La Veranda's a great place for lunch, it’s close to the pool so you won’t have to venture far. They’ve got a good selection of light dishes and antipasti, plus a great cocktail menu.

A hot & cold breakfast buffet is served each morning in the indoor dining room and on the outdoor terrace in warmer months. You'll have all you need to kick start a day of exploring the local area.

La Veranda restaurant offers a lovely setting with some of the best aperitivi on the lake. The restaurant is open for breakfast, a snack lunch and serves a delicious a la carte dinner (bookable & payable locally). It's the perfect location to sit and watch the world go by.

Menaggio relaxes on the western shore of Lake Como, at the mouth of the valley to Lake Lugano. It’s a popular spot for the Milan elite who favour the extravagant piazzas and villas for their summer holidays. But for all its riches, Menaggio remains a welcoming town where a wealth of lake and mountain views (and tempting gelato shops) glitter around every corner. Walking and cycling paths reach around the lakefront and into the mountains behind- and it’s all just a 15 minute ferry ride from Bellagio and a 15 minute bus ride to Lenno.
