About Hotel Jolanda

Hotel Jolanda's right in the centre of Santa Margherita. The seafront is just a short walk away, as is the station where you can take trains to explore the area. Visit other coastal towns like Rapallo in the Portofino area or even spend the day in the region's capital, Genoa.

We love the fresh look of this hotel. With its contemporary neutral colour palette freckled with pops of red, orange, turquoise and pink. It's been decorated immaculately and is a very welcome place to wake up in or to come back to at the end of the day.

Just a short walk from the sea, Hotel Jolanda's the ideal hotel, if you're looking for easy access to the centre of Santa Margherita, and it's bars, restaurants and cafes. It's also easy to hop on a bus to Portofino from here- just buy a ticket at the tabaccheria by the promenade and you're ready to go!

The hotel's restaurant Il Basilico serves up tasty, traditional dishes and there are lots of local wine labels to choose from. Why not book dinner here one evening (bookable and payable locally).

Walking in the Portofino National Park reminds you that there's still a lot of rural land around these picture-perfect towns, just a stone's throw from the coast. Exploring on foot is a great way to get to know the real Liguria, where farmers still work on the land and old farm houses stand strong in the middle of the countryside. 

It’s also a good base for discovering the Ligurian coastline by boat, while a guided sea kayaking experience is a unique way to explore the protected waters and coastal scenery of the Portofino Marine Park. Rustic Streets in Santa Margherita, Liguria, Italy

From Rapallo you can get a direct train to towns like Bogliasco, Sori and Zoagli. These towns are all hidden gems and full of locals. The beach in Bogliasco is very popular in the summer, set beneath rocky walls it's the ideal un-spoilt area to enjoy on a summer's day. Make sure you also check out the ancient Roman bridge, it's the perfect spot for an Instagram moment!

Enjoy a day trip to the famous San Fruttuoso Abbey. Head over to San Fruttuoso by public boat and spend the day walking around the ancient cloisters and lounging on the beach in the sunshine. At the end of the day you'll also return by public boat.
