Neustift

This small and picturesque village is set in the heart of the Stubai valley, one of the most scenic in the Tyrol. Surrounded by pine forested slopes on all sides, there are more than 50 mountain huts dotted around the hillsides, and 4 separate walking areas each with a gondola and a variety of trails, all linked by the valley bus. There are magnificent views from the Stubai glacier at the end of the valley, and regular transport to Innsbruck offers the chance of sightseeing in the historic capital. Neustift is a lively village in high season with many outdoor cafés to sit and enjoy the views and para-gliders, and regular brass band concerts and Tyrolean evenings each week.
