Ready for a beach break? Head for the Victoria Palace hotel in Cattolica, just down the coast from lively Rimini. It’s right on the beachfront, which means great views of the Adriatic’s wide sandy beaches. Just along the pedestrianised promenade you’ll find the town square, Piazza Primo Maggio, so you’ll be close to all the shops bars and restaurants too. Keep an eye out for open air performances here in the summer.

The hotel’s had a modern restyle by architect Vincenzo De Cotiis – so inside there’s a sleek modern feel to the place. The rooms are fresh and bright and all have furnished balconies, so you can sit out and enjoy the sea breeze. Have breakfast with view on the terrace at the Terrazza Restaurant. If you fancy dinner here, you can choose Italian favourites from the a la carte menu or check out the Japanese restaurant – the sushi’s delicious! The art deco inspired lounge bar's has a great selection of drink's if you fancy a nightcap. 

The beach here is serviced and connected to the hotel via a wooden walkway. The facilities include a bar, swimming pools, sun loungers, parasols, and playgrounds – so if you’re bringing the kids along there’s lots to keep them entertained too, all under the watchful eye of the life guards. Just so you know the beach service isn’t included in the hotel price, but the staff will be happy to help you book your beach days. Same goes for the hotel’s spa – it’s bookable and payable locally and you can enjoy facilities like the indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, massages and treatments.

Double Rooms are about 18 and sleep up to three adults or two adults and two children. The rooms are decorated in a simple fresh style, with white bed linen and aquamarine tiled floors. All rooms have a balcony and facilities include a bathroom with a shower, air-conditioning, safe, mini bar, fridge, telephone, Wifi and a hairdryer. 

Double Side Sea View Rooms are about 20m² and have the same facilities as the double rooms, with a furnished balcony and the addition of views of the sea. These rooms are available on request, please call to book.

Adriatic Coast

The Italian Adriatic Coast is a goldmine for culture. The north eastern area's known to attract swathes of visitors in the summer months to it's broad sandy beaches - you know it's a good choice when it's where the Italians head for their summer holidays. The sandy beaches are dotted with pastel coloured parasols and are perfect if you're bringing the kids along, because they're mostly flat with lots of shallow bathing spots to splash about in.

Rimini's probably the best know resort, offering much more than just a party scene, the old town's packed with history - Renaissance palazzos and Roman ruins. Riccione's one of Italy's original seaside resorts, just south of Rimini and if you're after somewhere close to the action but a little quieter, Cattolica's the perfect place - not far from Monte San Bartol nature reserve, which has some lovely walking trails. 

You can't wrong with the food here - Emilia Romagna's famed for it's cuisine and there are plenty of top restaurant's about. There's loads of beach bars, clubs and cafes too - so when you've had you fix of lounging in the sun, head for an afternoon Aperol spritz. It's not just about the beach though - why not head inland to the hills? You'll find quiet medieval hamlets and fortified towns and villages. There's great train links from Rimini so you could even visit Bologna or Florence from here. 


Pools & Beaches

The hotel's in a great position right in front of Cattolica's beach. Just stroll across the pedestrianised promenade and you'll be there. I delfini beach village is serviced beach club with a life guard swimming pools, showers, changing rooms and lots of sun loungers and parasols - all of these facilities are available to book locally for a local charge. The hotel provide beach towels. 


The hotel's wellness centre has a heated indoor pool with a counter current for swimming and waterfalls, a steam bath, sauna, hydro massage and relaxation areas. You can book special wellness programmes and treatments as well as things like yoga lessons. All of the spa facilities here are payable locally, speak to the friendly reception staff who will be happy to recommend the best package to suit your relaxation needs.

Breakfast here is buffet style and its served in the Terrazza Restaurant each morning, which means you'll have beautiful views of the sea and along the coast while you eat. Options include things like freshly baked bread, home made cakes, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. As well as coffee and a selection of teas and juices. 

Terrazza Restaurant is the hotel's main restaurant where you'll have breakfast each morning. They also serve brunch and dinner here (payable locally). The à la carte menu offers a selection of tasty classic Italian dishes and you'll get to spend more time dining on the terrace with those sea views. 

Qì Sushi Lovers is the hotel's Japanese restaurant. The sushi here's fresh and made with quality ingredients. The restaurant has a sleek, but intimate feel about it, and the food will leave you wanting to come back again. 

The Lounge Bar area blends minimal design with art deco features. It's a warm inviting space with ambient lighting, perfect for pre dinner drinks.
