Hotel Du Parc certainly lives up to its name. The gardens here are beautiful, lake front, well-established and vast – they make having a relaxing holiday extremely easy. Find a seat or simply lay a blanket on the grass to enjoy a secluded afternoon admiring the views over the lake. When you’re ready to cool off, head for the pool and take a dip – you can still enjoy the lake views while you swim.

The hotel itself is a beautiful 19th century villa. Inside there’s a traditional Italian décor that may not be as grand as the outside but offers plenty of comfort. Head out onto the terrace for panoramic views of the lake, best enjoyed with a glass of wine form the bar.

The hotel is in a lovely, quiet location and the centre of Garda is only 100 metres away. It’s perfect for when you want to get out and explore. Take a leisurely walk along the promenade and enjoy the bustle of the resort or hop on a ferry to explore further afield.

Transfer time: approx. 45 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Garda

Garda is one of the most charming resorts on Lake Garda. It’s hard not to feel relaxed when you stay here. Its wide promenade is perfect for leisurely strolls. The trees lined alongside it provide a welcome shade and the views of the lake are peaceful and awe-inspiring. The promenade stretches for miles and connects to Bardolino - this makes it perfect for cyclists too.

The medieval centre is just as pleasant to walk around. The shops here are varied and there’s a large market every Friday. Join the locals as they shop for fresh food and find some souvenirs to take home with you. In the evenings, head back to the lakefront and pick a spot in one of the many bars here. Make yourself comfortable with an aperitivo and enjoy a bit of people watching.

There’s a ferry port with regular ferries to nearby towns so getting out and about is easy. You’re also close to Verona so try and fit in a night at the opera if you can.
