Hotel All'Azzurro

  • Lake Garda, Italy, Limone

Ratings/reviewsClick for full ratings

You’ll find Hotel All’Azzurro in the centre of Limone, right in front of the lake. This means everything is within easy reach, including the ferry port that’s just along the road. It’s a great base for exploring Lake Garda. The hotel takes advantage of its location and makes sure there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. Our favourite is the restaurant – we never get tired of sitting on the panoramic terrace and watching as the boats dock or taking in the stillness of the lake on a warm day. The pizzas are pretty good here, too.

The building fits right into Limone’s colourful lakefront. Its surrounded by citrus trees and oleanders. The pool takes pride of place on the roof, where some of the best views can be found. Inside has had a complete overhaul and now has a modern style in the public areas and all the rooms in the main building have been completely renovated. Expect large spaces with contemporary furniture and comfy beds. If you can, upgrade to a Deluxe Room - they have a private balcony and the best lake views.

Transfer time: approx. 2 hours 15 mins by coach from Verona airport.

Limone

Limone is one of the best resorts for hiking on Lake Garda. It’s right at the bottom of the mountain and steep, cobbled streets throughout the town lead up to some fantastic viewpoints. There’s nothing better than taking an early morning walk and enjoying uninterrupted views over the lake from your quiet vantage point. For the more serious hikers, there’s around 70 trails to choose from of varying lengths and difficulties. Grab your boots and set of early – don’t forget to take your camera!

If walking isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty of reasons to pick Limone as your base. The town is beautiful with colourful buildings and vibrant lakeside promendade. During the summer the evenings come alive with live music concerts in the square. There’s also regular ferries to other towns so exploring Lake Garda is easy. Limone is filled with traditional restaurants using the lemons that grow all around. Take a visit to Limonaia Del Castel to learn about the town’s history with this citrus fruit.
