Lake Levico Holidays

Explore lush forests and fantastic hiking and cycling trails on a Lake Levico Holiday

Lake Levico holidays are packed full of things to see and do. The lake’s renowned for its beautifully clear water - it’s Blue Flag accredited, so it’s hard to resist going straight in for a dip as soon as you arrive. The historic thermal spa town, Levico Terme, is a short stroll from the lake shore – in the summer the pedestrianised streets are filled with flowers. The surrounding mountains and lush woodland make it a popular destination for walking and cycling. You can spend your days here chilling by the lake, relaxing in the thermal spas or out on an adventure in the Lagorai Mountains.

What to see on a Lake Levico holiday

It’s easy to make the most of your time here on the lake – especially as most of our hotels offer guests a free Trentino card. It gives you access to free local public transport and discounts on all kinds of activities and excursions like wine tasting, mushroom foraging and bike tours.

Head into nature where you’ll be able to find your very own tranquil oasis hidden between the pine-forested hills of Lake Levico. When you are not out walking, cycling or trying your hand at some water sports the towns thermal spas are the place to relax and ease any aches and pains.

Things To Do

Things to see and do

Lake Levico has lots to see and do. Don’t miss the natural thermal sprigs of Levico Therme. They've been attracting visitors, including the Austrian Royal family, since the 16th Century — you can stop by the museum in Parco delle Terme to learn about the history. Or, why not see for yourself? Several of our hotels use the thermal waters in their pools and spas.

Art lovers will enjoy the open-air art gallery Arte Sella. It’s a creative enclave in an Alpine valley near Levico, which has been attracting artists to create living artworks in these natural surroundings since the 1980s. Today you can explore the art trail, spotting beautiful works made from natural materials.

Food & drink

Try the local wine. The region’s producers come together in Levico Terme for a celebration of wine at the Festival Dell'uva in early September. It’s a great time to visit – with local wine tastings, food stalls, live music, performances and even wine painting.

Levico is a cyclist’s paradise. With about 97 mountain bike trails in the region that traverse the surrounding hills and mountains, you’ll be spoilt for choice. If you’re more into long distance road biking you’ll love the 80 kilometre Valsugana cycle path – it runs alongside a train line, making the return home easy.

The lakes clear waters are perfect for anyone who enjoys a wild swim. Both Lake Levico and nearby Lake Caldonazzo have nice public beaches were you can access the water. Relax on the beach or why not try out some water sports? Paddleboards, kayaks and pedalos are available to hire locally.

If you’re heading here for a walking holiday, you’ll have plenty of routes to explore. From strolling along the lake shore to more adventurous hiking in the Lagorai Mountains. Discover the unspoiled landscapes and visit the WWF Valtrigona Oasis, a specially protected nature park.
