The Hotel Mangart is a charming property on the outskirts of Bovec, just a short walk away from the town centre. Ideally positioned next to the renowned Triglav National Park, you can explore all day on foot before returning to a comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day.

Excellent facilities

Relax your body and mind in the soothing wellness area, located on the fifth floor of the hotel. Or, spend an afternoon on the terrace soaking up the sun with a refreshing beverage in hand. The lounge and bar area can accommodate up to 90 people, so is a spacious place to chill after your evening meal.

Bovec

The picturesque village of Bovec lies between the mountains and rivers of the Julian Alps on the doorstep of the Triglav National Park, which covers four percent of Slovenia. It’s a mecca for nature lovers, cyclists, canoeists and walkers of all levels. You’ll recognise the beautiful River Soca (pictured above) as the location for many of the scenes in the 2008 film the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian -  it's so blue it could pass as a tropical sea. Take to the challenge of hiking up Mount Svinjak, with a rewarding view from its unique peak. Here you can often see herds of ibex which seem to be able to climb almost vertical rocks! Or just stroll along through the village, see the World War I monuments, and admire the Gothic churches and traditional local houses. There is so much to see and do in this undiscovered part of Slovenia.
