Considering a holiday to Lake Garda? We’ve planned this self-guided itinerary so that you can make the most of your stay on the lakes shores without having to worry about how to get there, where to stay and what to see - it’s all been done for you. You’ll experience the best of the southern side of the lake, staying in bustling Desenzano where leisurely lakeside strolls and aperitivo are a must. It’s easy to explore Venice and Verona from here too. Riva, your second centre, is at the northern tip of the lake in the foothills of the mighty Dolomite mountains. Although they’re only about 35 miles apart at opposite ends of  Lake Garda, Desenzano and Riva couldn’t be more different – so you’ll have the chance to experience both. Our Inghams Representatives will be on hand to assist and help you enjoy your holiday to the full.

We’d recommend taking the stunning old Ponale Road - it’s a picturesque path linking Riva and Lake Ledro. Riva’s known for its water sports, especially sailing and wind surfing – so if you’re looking to get out onto the water you’ll have plenty of options. If you’d rather relax, the cobbled streets, numerous gelaterias and long beaches are all on hand to help you while away the time.
