Ellmau is a pretty village located between the rolling green slopes of the Kitzbüheler Alps and the craggy Wilder Kaiser (Wild Emperor) mountains. With a strong farming history, it it still full of local character and tradition. Close to Ellmau, Scheffau enjoys panoramic views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. Set mid-way between Innsbruck and Salzburg, Ellmau is an ideal starting point for many excursions and evening entertainment includes a weekly street market and brass band concert.
